Adolin Collins (born August 3, 2038) is an American football linebacker for the London Royals of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

"Very little is known about Adolin Collins' personal life. What little public information there is can be sourced exclusively to a handful of interviews with Collins himself in the leadup to the 2061 DSFL Draft. Compounding the issue, in those interviews Collins appears to refer to places and institutions which do not exist as (English-language) names. Given that Collins speaks English with a heavy accent, some linguists (Sanderson Jr., et al) have suggested that these are romanizations of foreign-language names which do not match their accepted English counterparts. Regardless, none of Collins' claims about his life before he showed up on the DSFL's 2060 post-trade-deadline waiver wire have ever been independently verified; conversely, they have also never been conclusively disproven.

According to his own testimony, Collins was born in early March of 2038, the first of two children. His mother died when he was very young, leaving him to be raised by his father, a decorated hero of at least one unspecified war. He has a wife (presumably named ""Xia Lan"" Collins), and no children of his own. He joined the DSFL ""at the suggestion of a very good friend,"" but has admitted multiple times that he hadn't played the sport of football in an organized capacity before 2060."

Professional career

DSFL career

"Collins was claimed off the waiver wire by the Portland Pythons immediately following the trade deadline. Portland had already been eliminated from the playoffs when Collins joined, and the young linebacker treated the final four weeks of the season as an acclimation period, getting used to the sport. It was clear from the start not only that he needed the time, but that it was well spent. A fairly pedestrian 16 tackles and one sack over four games obscures the fact that almost half of those tackles came solely in Week 14; Collins lead the team as Portland snapped a 6-game losing streak to close out the season. Despite that, Collins' professed unfamiliarity with the game meant that, prior to the 2061 DSFL Draft, he was not considered a highly-rated prospect, likely to be picked somewhere in the mid-rounds.

Collins was selected in the fourth round by the London Royals, 31st overall. In one post-draft interview, he claimed that being drafted to the Royals was ""funny, in a serendipitous sort of way,"" but when pressed refused to elaborate why."
