Lucas Knight (born November 2, 2000) is an American football cornerback is an undrafted American football cornerback of the National Simulation Football League. He played college football for Texas A&M University and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season

Early years
Lucas Knight was born in Mexico City to Daniel Knight and Gabriela Mendez. Since his father was a renowned goalkeeper for the Liga MX Pumas UNAM team, Lucas started to play soccer since he was 7 years old. During his first two years at at high school, he continue to develop as a goalkeeper for UNAM Reserves and Academy where he showed great athleticism and use of hands.
During the summer before entering his final year, Knight expressed his desire to pursue a career in football and decided to play for his high school team as a wide receiver where he had a promising season (4 games, 238 yds, 3 tds)
College career
Following several interviews with scouts, Knight decided to accept an invitation from Texas A&M University to play as a wide receiver. In his freshman year, Knight struggle to adapt to his role and only play as a backup for 3 out of 13 games where he had a much significant contribution as kick/punt returner.
Before the start of his sophomore year, the defensive coach suggested Knight to switch into a defensive back where he could take advantage of his vision and ball skills. For the season, Knight earned the starting role as an outside corner by game 8 following the injury of one of his teammates; for 6 games he accumulated 19 tackles, 5 passes defended and 1 interception.
During his junior and senior years, Knight became a full starter with 26 out of 28 games played. He spent most of the time as an outside corner but filled in as a free safety and the slot when needed. The team went into the bowl two consecutive seasons, but lost both times. His senior year, Knight posted a season with 64 tackles, 8 for loss, 6 interceptions and 17 pass breakups in which he was selected first-team All-SEC and was a finalist for the Thorpe Award.
