Early years
Silva was born in McComb, Mississippi on July 3, 2018, the only child of David and La-Neishah Silva. He displayed his atheltic potential from an early age, weighing 180lbs and standing 5ft 7in at 10 years old. Silva attended McComb High School where he was a four-year starter on the Tigers football team. In his firat two years he played both guard and defensive tackle, but switched to the defensive side of the ball full-time in his junior year.
After missing most of his junior year with a career-threatening achilles injury, Silva bounced back in his senior year, recording 55 tackles, 38 tackles for loss, 4 forced fumbles and 6 sacks. Silva's power and disturuptive play was a key part of a Tigers defense that carried the team to the semi-finals of the Mississippi State Championship playoffs, where the Tigers lost 10-6 to the Natchez High School Bulldogs featuring future ISFL player Tayshawn Crunk.
Silva was rated by Scout.com as a four star recruit and was ranked as the 27th overall defensive tackle in his class, and the number two defensive tackle in the state of Mississippi. Turning down interest from SEC colleges, he committed to Michigan State University on National Signing Day 2036.
College career
In his freshman year at Michigan State, Silva was used in the defensive line rotation, and recorded 38 tackles and one sack.
In the offseason before his junior year, Silva gaines 20 lbs and saw his production increase accordingly, racking up 47 tackles and 4 sacks in a down year for the Spartans.
Silva gained a further 30 lbs before his senior year, which proved to a breakout year for both him and Michigan State, as he amassed 62 tackles, 44 tackles for loss and 8 sacks in a 10-win season.
Amid speculation that Silva would declare for the 2038 DSFL Draft following his junior year, he stunned his college team and pro scouts by announcing that he would be quitting football and following his dream to be a sumo wrestler, enrolling at the prestigious Fujishima stable to train. He left Japan after only three weeks, stating that he couldn't "live on no more damn fish and noodles", stating an intention to return to football.
A week later Silva announced that he was opting not to return to Michigan State and declared for the 2039 DSFL Draft. He was picked up on waivers by the London Royals before the start of Season 24.

DSFL Career
Season 24
After being claimed on waivers by the London Royals before the start of the Season 24, Silva was placed straight into their starting lineup as the only defensive tackle on their roster.
Silva recorded his first tackle in a week 2 loss to the Portland Pythons. His first sack came a week later as the Royals fell to the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers 13-0.
Though his work ethic was questioned openly by Royals coaches, Silva showed steady improvement in both his attitude and his play throughout the season, with a breakout performance of 4 tackles, a sack and forced fumble in Week 10 as the Royals beat the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers 34-31. His good form continued into the closing weeks of the season, ending the regular season with a 6 tackle and a sack game against the Kansas City Coyotes. London won this game 20-16, securing homefield advantage to begin the playoffs as they ended the season with an 8-6 record.
He didn't show up on the stat sheet in the NFC Championship Game, but Silva provided a disruptive interior force that was critical in a dominant Royals defensive performance as they swept aside the Portland Pythons 31-3. Silva recorded 3 tackles in the Ultimini, including a big stop on third down late in the first half, to help London triumph 24-17 over the Norfolk Seawolves and lift the Championship trophy.
In recognition of his efforts for the London Royals in their first championship season, Brent Silva was selected as a defensive tackle in the NFC team for the 2039 DSFL Pro Bowl.

Silva was considered a late round prospect for the 2040 ISFL Draft, rarely being given consideration in the first few rounds by any draft experts. After a long wait during the draft, he was finally selected with pick 3 of the 6th round, 73rd overall, by the Philadelphia Liberty.
