Early years
Carl Wheezer was born in Retroville, TX. He started playing football as a Tight End in Junior High, and stayed a Tight End until his sophomore year in High School, where he changed to a Wide Receiver. He ended up totalling 39 TDs in High School. He was his High School's second best Wide Receiver during his time, and was a 3x Division Champion in Retroville. He received offers from the University of Cincinatti, the University of Sam Houston State, and the University of Retroville. He considered accepting the offer from his local University of Retroville, but instead decided to accept the offer from the University of Cincinatti. He visited his ex-High School multiple times throughout his college career, and visited Retroville monthly. He stated that he "wanted to play for the University of Retroville, but I would have been a fourth string Wide Receiver. I took being a second string over a fourth, very simple."
College career
Carl Wheezer's first and only year at the University of Cincinatti was better than any of his High School seasons. He scored 11 TDs, the most out of any receiver on his team. He received a lot of interest from teams like Iowa State University, University of Iowa, University of Houston, and University of Florida. He planned on staying in the University of Cincinatti, but decided to enter the transfer portal to join Iowa State University. With Iowa State, he started off a second string Wide Receiver. He caught 9 TDs, and ran 2 TDs. He gained less offers than the previous year, only gaining offers from the University of Houston, and the University of Cincinatti. Carl decided to stay in Iowa, becoming the first string Wide Receiver. In his Junior season, he only caught 6 TDs, raising concerns that he wasn't starting Wide Receiver material. In Carl's Senior season, he caught 3 TDs, less than ever in his College career. He missed the declaration date for the DSFL Draft, and ended up on waivers to start off the DSFL season.
