Early years
Richard Johnson was always a kid of exceptional size, earning him the nickname of "Big Richard" in pop warner to diferentiate himself from the other Richard on the team. Growing up, Big Rich had a privileged lifestyle. His father Harold "Harry" Johnson and his mother Velma Cucci-Johnson were both tech giant CEOs. While they were supportive of Rich financially, they failed to encourage his love for the game of football. This led to his family butler Jeeves sneaking Richard off to private camps under the guise of taking him to robotics tournaments. Richard's size and dominant personality allowed him to thrive against kids his own age and he often was lined up against defenders several years older than him, likely furthering his skill. After attending a camp for west coast linemen in his freshman year of high school, Johnson accepted a full scholarship to the University of Michigan to play football. He would major in Robotics
College career
"Big Richard" Johnson started every game for the University of Michigan during his first three seasons with the program and never missed a snap, earning him yet another nickname: "Iron" Johnson. Furthermore, Richard never let up a single sack in his entire college career, a feat nearly unheard of. This again gave him another nickname: "No Sack" Johnson (or "No Sack All Johnson" in some circles. Slated to be a top selection in the NFL, he decided to finish his education while pursing a CFB championship. He accomplished both goals in his senior year, however, decided to follow his parents footsteps into "Big Tech" for two years post graduating. Although Rich was dominant on the gridiron, he was less effective as a corporate man and decided to go back to football. Once he was ready for the NFL, he had fallen out of favor with teams, and decided to follow his dream of playing professional football to the ISFL.
