Early years
Dominic was born in Ontario, Canada to Sarah and Michael Reynolds. His parents are former collegiate athletes at the University of Wisconsin, where they met while both competing on the track team. Dominic had a passion for football early and it was evident. Since Canada is not known for its football programs, they spent extra time looking for opportunities for american recruiters to have their eyes on their son. What started slow, as a 2 star athlete out of high school, many small local programs looked to Dominic as a depth piece and were not exciting offers. However, after a very successful official visit with Purdue, Dominic quickly declared and had his eyes set on where he wanted to play collegiate football. This decision came extremely easy because of the passion he felt from the coaches, and their willingness to take in an offensive linemen who many considered to be extremely talented, but undersized for the next level.
College career
"Dominic was proud to be a Boilermaker and knew that academics would be a priority during his team at university. He was a physics major and would use these studies to translate to the football field. While redshirted his freshman year sitting behind a future 2nd round pick, Dom grew up the wings and was prepared for his breakout. His redshirt freshman year is where he began to excel. He took over as the starting right guard for the boiler makers. His coaches quickly recognized his leadership and knowledge of the game. He would finish with a great first season, only allowing 3 sacks all season.
His redshirt sophomore year, he took over as the starting center where he solidified himself as an elite lineman. He would lead the B1G 10 in fewest pressures, and had among the top passing blocking and run blocking grades in the country. After this season, he would declare for the draft."
