Early years
Born in Dallas, Texas on July 5th 2003, Thudd Kassel has been destined to be a middle linebacker from birth. Playing at Rowlett High School, Thudd collected 3 All-State Selections and one State Title. Ranked as the 3rd overall Linebacker coming out of high school, Thudd was expected to commit and start as a freshman at a Power 5 School. Thudd's academics got in the way of his scholorship and he was resigned to playing at D3 school Red Valley State where many of the scouts and media forgot about his immense talents.
College career
In 3 years at Red Valley State Thudd acumulated 589 tackles, 14 sacks, 10 FF, 4 Ints, and 4 defensive touchdowns. Thudd burst back onto scouts radars at a local combine where his stats and highlights tape got him an invite to the prospect bowl. As a freshman Thudd Kassel was named the starting middle linebacker for RSV and led the team to a 12-3 record behind 156 tackles, 3 sacks, 3 FF, and an int which led to a TD. RSV was eliminated in the 3rd round of the D-III playoffs. As a sophmore Thudd won the Gagliardi Trophy with an stat line of 206 tackles, 6 sacks, 5 FF, 2 int, and 3 defensive touchdowns. RSV finished the season undefeated at 16-0 and D-III champions. Thudd finished up his junior year with another Galardi Trophy with 227 tackles, 5 sacks, 2 FF, and 1 int. RSv was elimated in the semi finals of the D-III playoffs finishing the season 14-1. Thudd declared for the DSFL draft, leaving as what experts regard as the most dominant defensive player in D-III history.
