Early years and personal life
Pete was born in Lexington, KY to a mother and father of unknown identity and has at least one brother. He is very secretive, and not much is known of his early life. He loves Die Hard and can recite every line. Outside of football, he enjoys boxing, tennis, NASCAR, and The Amazing Race. Known for always taking dumps, he earned the nickname of "Plop".
He is married to Kelly Hammon and has two sons, Jim (4) and Dwight (2). They live in a 300 sqft tiny house that Kelly won from a scratch-off ticket. Rumors have circulated that Plop skipped a possible 5th year of eligibility in order to make money to cover Kelly's gambling debts.
He attended Dunbar and lettered all four years. His team won the state championship twice, and Plop set the all-time single season sack record for the state of Kentucky during his junior year. He was a 4* recruit with multiple D1 offers, and he eventually committed to his hometown Wildcats.
College career
Plop made an immediate impact as a true freshman, appearing in all 13 games (starting in the last 3). He was a dominant force in his sophomore season starting all 13 games, earning 2nd team All-SEC honors, and was the MVP of the Music City Bowl where he had 3 sacks, 2.5 TFL, and the game winning interception.
Unfortunately, he suffered a knee injury filming his audition for The Amazing Race, and he missed all of his Junior season. Despite not seeing the field, he developed his leadership skills and was an influential presence in the locker room. Coach Stoops mentioned him in his end of season speech, specifically citing his mentoring of the young defensive line.
Desperate to get back on the field, he recorded 5.5 sacks in the first two games of his senior season. He struggled during SEC play and finished the year with 9.5 sacks. He entered the SFL draft where he slid down draft boards. He landed with the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers of the DSFL. He reported to the team in December of 2019.
