Early years
"Kyle Idlewyld was born on October 6, 2004, in Fort Worth, Texas, to parents Cristina, a coffee shop owner, and Tom Idlewyld, a firefighter. Idlewyld played soccer from age four to age 13 and played for travel teams that traveled to Argentina and Germany. He gave up soccer when weekly games started to conflict with his schedule and for financial reasons. Idlewyld also played football throughout his childhood and became passionate about the sport while he was in sixth grade.
Idlewyld awent to [REDACTED] High School, where he was a four-year letter-winner in football and also lettered in basketball, baseball, and track and field. He earned the Conference Player of the Year Award his senior year, and first-team All-State, All-County, All-Area, and All-Conference selections as both a tight end and defensive end. He was also named the team's MVP. During his senior year, Idlewyld accumulated a total of 406 receiving yards, 27 catches, and 6 touchdowns.
Idlewyld followed in his father's footsteps and competed in the shot put during his senior season, earning first-team All-state selection. He captured the state title in the shot put at the 2031 Texas 5A State Championship, setting a new school record with a throw of 59 ft, 11.5 in."
College career
College was full of turmoil for Idlewyld. He played at 3 different universities in his 3 years, only completing a full season his junior year, despite having no impactful injuries. Coming out of high school as a 5 star recruit Idlewyld made the somewhat suprising decision to stay in his hometown and play for Texas Christian University. Despite his strong performances as a freshman Idlewyld was kicked off the team with his scholarship revoked after assualting the kicker during practice mid-season. Kyle's talent outweighed his attitude problem and he began his sophomore year playing for the University of North Texas. However with one game left in the season Idlewyld, unhappy with the offenses play, refused to practice or play a snap until he got reps at Quarterback. He was again kicked off the team with his scholarship stripped. Going into his junior year Idlewyld knew he would have to calm down before he entered the DSFL draft. He entered Southwestern University, a small D3 school in central Texas. He made the all D3 team despite "taking it easy" as he called it.
