Ray Baker was drafted in the second round of the DSFL Draft by the [[Kansas City Coyotes]]. There were a lot of expectations for Baker coming into the season which he struggled to live up to. Baker was solid on the year for extra points, making 37 of 39 attempts for the Coyotes. Where Baker especially struggled was in the 20-29 range (2/4) and 50+ (3/7). It was not unsurprising Ray would not be successful right away from 50+ since he is an accuracy focus kicker but many pundits were shocked at his performance under 30 yards. Baker did not let that trouble him and finished out the season on a high note for Kansas City. After the Kansas City punter went inactive, Baker was called to take on punting duties at the end of the season and tied the season longest punt at 62 yards. Ray's first season in Kansas City did not quite live up to the hype but he continues to keep his head held high and move forward to the next season.
