Early years
Maximus Boudreaux was born in the tiny town of Catahoula, Lousiana to Louis and Yvette Boudreaux. Louis and Yvette were both paranoid and suspicious of pretty much anything modern, so Maximus was homeschooled and spent most of his time helping his father with the family fishing business. Fortunately, Yvette did believe in education so Max learned to read pretty well and basic math so he wasn't a completely uneducated bumpkin.Max's father died in an unfortunate fishing accident when Max was 8 and his mother died shortly thereafter of a broken heart and too much Boudin. Max was sent to live with his Aunt in nearby Breaux Bridge, where he had a rough time assimilating with modern society after being raised in primitive poverty. Max did finally settle in to his new life. In an effort to fit in, Max tried out for the football team. With his very strong cajun accent, his teammates had a hard time understanding him, and so the coaches thought Max wasn't very good and he spent his high school football career playing backup quarterback.
College career
While Max's high school football career was anything but impressive, he was a reasonably good student, and his Aunt was a huge Lousiana Tech alumni, so he enrolled there to continue his college education. Max didn't play any sports his freshman year, preferring to keep in shape on his own. His sophomore year, Max was introduced to some of the football team while working out in the weight room, and they encouraged him to try out for the football team. Max did, and was good enough to make the team, although he was again the backup quarter back. Max continued his unimpressive football career as a junior by again sitting on the bench, but he was good enough that the coaches offered him a scholarship so that was nice. His senior year he was named the starter after the highly touted QB recruit tore his ACL during the offseason. Max was good enough to lead the team to a 10-6 record and a win in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl over Georgia Southern. His coaches thought he might have a shot in the pros as a backup so Maximus declared for the draft shortly thereafter.
