Ryan "Bam" Joseph (born September 8, 2041) is an American football linebacker for the London Royals of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Born in New Haven, Connecticut, Joseph was born to play linebacker. Even before he could walk he would always be clinging to his stuffed football given to him as a baby. When he was old enough to play peewee football, it was apparent that he was born to play ball. Joseph was constantly being sent to the sidelines during peewee football for knocking too many of the opposing players out of the game. This is when he earned the nickname "Bam". Joseph was recruited by in town Choate Rosemary Hall, a private school with an excellent track record of producing division 1 athletes, and Joseph was thrilled to be able to elevate his game while staying local to his home. While at Choate, Joseph was a jack of all trades on the defensive side of the ball, playing linebacker, safety, and defensive end. He earned many scholarship offers but ultimately chose to remain close to his home at the University of Connecticut.

College career

Wanting to stay local to his roots, he passed up multiple big time D1 offers to go to the University of Connecticut, where he was a 4 year starter. At UCONN, Joseph played inside linebacker, outside linebacker, rush end, and even safety in certain packages. He modeled his game after the great Brian Urlacher - who played free safety in college before becoming one of the best linebackers the NFL had ever seen. Although not the biggest, fastest, or most physically gifted athlete, Joseph was a dedicated student of the game and played with a relentless attitude. Joseph earned all conference honors as a sophomore, junior, and senior, also being named team captain as a junior and senior, and earned 2nd team All American honors as a senior. He can only hope to continue his success in the next chapter of his football career with the London Royals of the DSFL.

S46 Recap

In his rookie season, linebacker Ryan “Bam” Joseph emerged as a surprising impact player for the London Royals. Despite entering the league as an undrafted free agent, Joseph carved out a significant role on the defensive side of the ball. While playing as a part time player, he tallied 62 tackles, 1 sack, 2 interceptions, and 9 total passes defended in the regular season. Joseph was able to showcase his athletic ability and prowess in coverage regularly. His best game as a tackler came in week 8 against the Dallas Birddogs, with 9 total tackles. The highlight of the season for Joseph was in a week 11 28-23 victory over the Tijuana Luchadores, where Joseph was able to return an interception 34 yards for a touchdown, while also tying for the team lead in tackles with 8. Looking to the future, Joseph has established himself as a key contributor to the Royals defense and will look to make even greater strides in his second season in the DSFL.

S47 Recap

Going into his second season as a professional in the DSFL, Joseph had built up some very lofty expectations for himself, as he continued to be an integral part of the London Royals defensive unit. In the S47 draft, Joseph was actually drafted by the Austin Copperheads, only increasing the already high expectations. As a latecomer into the S46 season, Joseph was assigned to remain with the London Royals for season 47 to continue improving all areas of his gameplay. In 12 starts of the 14 game season, Joseph proved that he was impact player, and more importantly a turnover machine. Though Joseph had a reduction in tackles from his rookie season, he doubled his interception total from S46, with 4 picks on the year. He also forced 1 fumble, recovered 2 fumbles, had a sack and 6 passes defended for good measure. It certainly seems like the Royals have a budding defensive superstar in the making in the aptly nicknamed "Bam" Joseph.

S48 Recap
