He was a two way player at Wachusett Regional Highschool in Holden Massachusetts, playing on both the Offenive and Defensive lines for the Mountaineers. Making the Varsity team in his Sophmore season, he quickly became a standout player and all-state linemen on both sides of the ball, and was elected as a captain for both his Junior and Senior seasons. He also played Varsity Baseball for three years, and passed on entering into a draft to play professional baseball, opting to attend college after graduating from Wachusett. Not only was Mayhem a success on the field, but he was also an honor roll student and member of numerous clubs and groups at the school.
