Early years
Before Oex started on his path to American Football, he was just a simple band kid who played tuba. He even performed at football games and pep rallies for all the school teams. Despite his love for the sport, he never believed he would ever actually succeed in the sport. He was noticed by Coach Rayofsunshine when one day he ran on to the field to pick off one of his friends, who happened to be a receiver, as a joke. In his first game he got 4 picks and 13 passes defensed, immediately shattering school records at the cornerback position. The rest of his senior career was legendary and, rightfully so, many schools came knocking on his door to recruit him into college. Jason Oexius has repeatedly told journalists in interviews that there is not a second in his life where he regrets the decision to switch to football. He says he only wishes he started sooner.
College career
After getting a full ride to University of Wisconsin as a 5 star highschool recruit Jason Oexius was slotted in as the instant CB2 for the Badgers his freshman year. His FBS career did have a rough start and it quickly became obvious that Oexius was not prepared for the level of talent his new opponents brought to the gridiron. After just 3 games and 7 allowed touchdowns upon 27 allowed catches, Oexius lost his starting role and instead became a fill in guy off the bench. He finished his rookie season with just 2 pass defenses, 11 total tackles, and no interceptions. It was a very disappointing season for Jason Oexius but it clearly lit a fire under the kid because his sophomore year he came right out the gate firing. His first game, Oexius recorded an INT, a TD, 12 TKLs, and 5 PDs. Oexius performed much like this throughout his college career which earned him the first overall pick to the Bondi(ng) Beach Buccaneers.
