Magnus Valdyr (born April 3, 2014) is an American football safety for the Tijuana Luchadores of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

A native of Seattle, Washington, Magnus attended Nathan Hale High School. Magnus was a three sport athlete, competing in football, basketball, and running track & field. While Magnus was a great all-around athlete, his skills on the football field really set him apart. As the starting safety and running back, he led the Raiders to their first state 3A championship in his senior year. Magnus took up the University of Washington on their scholarship offer and decided to stay local for his college years.

College career

As a true freshman in 2032, things started off slow for Magnus. Magnus played defensive back and appeared in 12 games with one start, recording only 9 tackles with one interception and two passes defensed.

In 2033, Magnus became the starter at safety and played on special teams. Magnus started all 14 games and ended the season with 79 tackles, one tackle for a loss, one interception, and seven passes defensed.

Magnus had his most productive year during his junior campaign, recording 52 tackles, two interceptions, forcing one fumble, two fumble recoveries, and 12 passes defensed. Magnus decided against entering the draft a year early and chose to stay at the University of Washington for his senior season.

Magnus had a productive senior season, finishing the year with 68 tackles, three tackles for a loss, two interceptions, and four passes defensed.
