Miguel Caballero Rojo (born April 18, 2037) is an American football linebacker who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Universidad de Salamanca (UdS) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Born to a very conservative Spanish family, Miguel Rojo became noted as the black sheep very quickly on. As a wild child, he was prone to getting into fights at school, and at a very young age, left his home to live on the streets and in bars. While this behavior was seen as ruthless and compromised, Miguel continued to attend school between suspensions and even threats of expulsions. Miguel left high school as a senior, leaving behind his education to focus his efforts on backstreet brawling and bare-knuckle fights, destroying anyone in his path due to his bloodthirst. It was during one of these fights that a recruiter for the Universidad de Salamanca football team noted Miguel's unrefined nature. The recruiter believed he could change Miguel into a shining diamond on the field, giving him an air of legitimacy rather than live his life in the alleys, fighting for scraps of food and bank notes.

College career

Rojo's early college years were filled with undisciplined rage against the opponents. Offenses began to fear seeing Rojo rushing the line. The same could not be said for his teammates; many reported that it felt like Rojo was holding back against them. The team camaraderie began to shine through as his teammates began to learn how Rojo worked, and after knocking back a few beers at the bar, Rojo was a very capable and impressive orator and storyteller. Teammates began to love going to the bars after practice just to hear what stories Rojo would tell next. During a trip overseas to North America, Rojo got in a fight with a prestigious member of the Universidad de Salamanca school board, and found himself in disciplinary meetings, with threat of removal from the football team and the school itself. However, his teammates banded together and all vouched for Rojo, leading the school board to reinstate Rojo's tuition and schooling. Rojo reportedly considered his teammates his family from then on, and only after all of them had been recruited to the International Simulation Football League, did Rojo throw his name in as a prospect.

Professional career

During the 2064 season, Miguel Caballero Rojo was brought in as a trade deadline waiver, meaning that he would be able to play for a team, but his player rights would be entered into the Developmental Simulation Football League's draft.

Season 49 (2064)

Selected by the Bondi Beach Buccaneers as a waiver, Rojo began his career in the tail end of a losing season. Nevertheless, he made a huge impression against the Kansas City Coyotes, interrupting a pass from No Pix and coming down with an interception. Bondi Beach would go on to win that game, although their season was not one to remember, ending at 5-9.

Rojo would commend his fellow teammates at Bondi Beach, noting that although he didn't recognize any of them from college, "it felt like a family."

When pressed if he would consider returning to the Buccaneers after the draft, Rojo was non-committal, stating "whoever wants a killer, they know where to find me."

Season 50 (2065)

Miguel Caballero Rojo was selected by the Kansas City Coyotes at pick number 9, in the second round of the draft. The Coyotes were reportedly impressed by his play in the tail end of the season against them, and he would sign his rookie contract with Kansas City.

During the offseason, it was noted that Rojo was having some issues adjusting to professional play. Many of his former tactics would likely draw penalty flags, and changing his style proved to be a difficult task for the linebacker.

Despite this, Rojo would gather a respectable 86 tackles with 9 for a loss, and seven sacks, alongside an immense amount of pressures. Nevertheless, Kansas City would slide to another 5-9 record, and Rojo was disappointed in his rookie season. He did support his former team, as Bondi Beach would make a run and win the Ultimini at the end of the season, stating "those fighters are proud, and I am proud of their win."

With the ISFL draft looming, Rojo was reportedly excited about his scouting process, stating that plenty of teams had an interest in him and that he was "ready to fight for the team that takes a chance on this kid."
