Kipp "Specter" Summers (born October 25, 2042) is an American football safety who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Univercity of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) before being drafted by the Norfolk Seawolves in the 2064 DSFL Draft (S49).

Early years

Kipp Summers was Born in a lab somewhere in Santa Ana in October of 2043. Thought a failed experiment, he was thrown out and left to die in the trash when a single father of 3 came across his unconcious body and decided to rescue him. Taking him home Kal Summers Sr. did everything he could to nurture Kipp back to health and give him a loving home. Kipp was introduced to the Summers family and was imediately accepted as the youngest brother. He would grow up playing football with his adopted family and fell in love with the sport. His brothers were all great talents and his father was great at helping them practice at an early age. going into highschool and being signifigantly smaller than everyone else Kipp learned what he was good at very early on in his career, Staying un-noticed and right in the perfect blindspot to snag a QB's pass. Kipp was a standout defensive player in highschool and with the reputation of his brother Dalinar he was a shoe in for UCLA.

College career

When Kipp Joined UCLA they slotted him right into free safety and Kipp had a phenomenal freshman year followed by an equally outstanding sophomore year earning him the nickname "specter". Going into Junior year things were looking up and until the final game of the season everything was going smoothly. During the final game of the season Kipp had a catastrophic ACL injury that could have spelled the end of his career and almost did. After a long recovery process Kipp finally got back to playing halfway through his senior year but after a series of lack luster games he was pulled off the starting line up for the remainder of the season. Kipp began to stop practicing as much and began to think about quitting football all together after his senior year, but his brothers who were all drafted into the DSFL gave him the strength, support, and help he needed to get back on his feet and he was able to sneak into the league right before the cutoff.

Season 49

Kipp Summers was not able to make the draft for the season 49 DSFL season due to his brothers convincing him to get back to playing football just a little too late. He was a very early waiver pick up for the Norfolk Seawolves who were excited to grab a second safety after the draft had concluded. Over the course of the season Kipp would come to love his home on Norfolk and the team around him.

The season itself was a ride to say the least. Kipp had told himself he was just trying to get back into the sport, but after the first three games Norfolk had a record of 1-1-1 and Kipp found himself getting much more invested than he had anticipated. The team had some great showings earlier in the season and struggled to find their form in the middle. That being said Kipp got his first career touchdown in game 6 against his brother's, Kal Summers Jr., team with an interception dubbed "The Kipp Six".

Coming into the end of season 49 Norfolk was firing on all cylinders and Kipp started firing up as well. Kipp made it to the Ultimini on his very first year in the DSFL where unfortunately the 6 game win streak of the Seawolves came to an end against the Portland Pythons.

Season 50

After an eventful ISFL draft and the Summers brothers being split up yet again all three were hoping for another year of contention for the Ultimini. Unfortunately for them this was not the case. NOR, TIJ, and LON all had rough years with records of 6-8, 2-12, and 4-10 respectively. The brothers decided to get together on their off days and do a variety of activities to lighten their mood throughout the season. Kipp was definitely disappointed in his lackluster defensive performance this season. And it didn't help that he had started to expect more of himself after last season.

Seeing NOR get hit by callups this year and knowing that he was probably going to get called up next year Kipp knew that this would be his last chance to see an Ultimini, and at the start of the season NOR wasn't out of the question. Norfolk starting the season 2-2 with wins against LON and KCC and losses against TIJ and BBB wasn't the greatest of starts by any means but it also wasnt that far off from their last season's start being 2-1-1 especially with only being a field goal away from having a tied game with TIJ in week 1.

Weeks 5,6, and 7 had different plans with the Pythons, Birddogs, and Grey Ducks all taking wins against Norfolk to drop their record to 2-5. The season still wasn't over though with NOR and TIJ being tied at 2-5, BBB with a record of 5-2, and DAL having a record of 6-1. Norfolk would need a miracle but the possibility of an Ultimini was still there. Kipp just needed to get it together. Weeks 8, 9, and 10 were exactly what the boats needed with wins against MIN, DAL, and POR bringing them to a 5-5 record trailing Bondi's 7-3.

That's when everything fell apart. In week 11 Norfolk lost to KCC 24-17, 5-6. In week 12 Norfolk lost to BBB 13-34, 5-7. After the loss to Bondi in week 12 the season was over no matter the outcome of Week 13 and 14 Bondi was out of reach for Norfolk. As the Divisional Championship and Ultimini rolled by Kipp couldn't help but be upset at the outcome of his DSFL career. His stats were underwhelming and his team went from being second best in the league to second worst in the division in one season. To set up for his ISFL Debut Kipp has been training nonstop this offseason to make sure that he can come onto the field with a bang and make a name for himself in the ISFL.

(Kipp thoroughly enjoyed his time in the DSFL he just was disappointed in himself that he couldn't have done better for his team and wishes them the best of luck in their future seasons)
