Alexander Rockstone (born January 5, 2039) is an American football cornerback for the Dallas Birddogs of the DSFL. He played college football for Purdue University (PU).

Early years

Alexander was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Rick and Sue Rockstone. Both parents were collegiate athletes, Rick playing football as a wide receiver at Notre Dame and Sue playing basketball at Indiana University. Growing up, Alexander was a multi-sport athlete playing football, basketball, and baseball. When he was younger, on the football field, he was a running back and wide receiver. He played point guard in basketball, and was a shortstop for the school's baseball team. Alexander attended Ben Davis High School, dropping basketball to focus on football and baseball. He switched over to corner back his freshman year, and had a starting varsity position his sophomore year. He was a star defensive player, winning multiple player of the week awards for his defensive protection. He continued playing baseball all through high school, but football was his primary focus for life after high school. Alexander helped his team win the state championship his senior year before accepting a scholarship to Purdue University.

College career

Alexander started as a backup his freshman year, playing situationally across a number of games. Even with his limited play time, he was able to record 2 interceptions and 15 tackles. His sophomore year he played a greater role, playing as a primary role player in passing situations. This lead to being on the field more, finding play time in every single game, which he was able to turn into higher stats. Alexander was able to showcase his pass defending ability, highlighted by his speed letting him keep opposing receivers in check. With an emphasis on not getting beat deep, Alexander made a name for himself for knocking passes away. Due to his performance his sophomore year, Alexander moved into a starting cornerback role his junior year. He lead the team in interceptions and passes defended, and was on the first short list for the Jim Thorpe award. Helping Purdue to make and then win their bowl game, Alexander was undecided for the draft. Recieving good feedback, he ultimately decided to come back for his senior year, taking on a role as a team captain and leading the Boilermakers to a Big Ten Championship and a spot in the college football championship play-in games. He was a finalist for the Jim Thorpe award his senior year, and recieved the Lott IMPACT Trophy.
