Lyle Robideaux (born October 13, 2037) is an American football linebacker for the Baltimore Hawks of the ISFL. He previously played for the Minnesota Grey Ducks of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Lyle was raised by his Mama and Pa in the bayou. One of 14 children, Lyle often kept himself busy wrestling alligators and noodling for catfish. Lyle struggled with school but found an outlet for his frustrations after stumbling upon a football practice and falling in love with the game he was watching in front of him. He tried out for the highschool team the next season and ended up starting over half of the games that season. While putting up impressive numbers Lyle was never viewed as a viable prospect by any Universities. In his spare times Lyle loved to help his mother in the kitchen cooking for his large family. Some of his favorite dishes to cook are jambalaya and fried catfish with collard greens and macaroni and cheese. Lyle had plalns of pursuing a career in the culinary world if football hadn't worked out for him. Those plans are now on hold.

College career

Despite not recievng any interest from any universities following his highschool football career eneded, Lyle walked on at South Central Louisiana State. He had always dreamed of being a Mud Dog and he was going to do everything in his power to make it come true. Once there they immediatley red-shirted him for the following season. Lyle then went on to start for the next 3 seasons where he wreaked havoc on rival QBs and offensice lines all across the NCAA. Lyle led the Mud Dogs in sacks and tackles for loss in all 3 seasons that he started. Lyle was leaned on as a leader in the locker room and on the field by the coaches as a defensive captain. In his final season at SCLS Lyle led the confrence in sacks and led the Mud Dogs to Bourban Bowl win over the hated rival University of Louisiana by a score of 30-27. ===College career statistics===

S46-Minnesota Grey Ducks

Lyle joined the Grey Ducks as a waiver claim immediately after the DSFL draft and immediately slotted into a starting role in the Grey Ducks midfield as a Linebacker. He put up some pretty respectable numbers as a rookie combining with fellow rookie LBs Bean Beanman and Tony Scaletta to form a strong midfield, leading the Minnesota to a North division regular season best record of 10-4. Lyle managed to through up 91 tackles and 9 tackles for loss while getting to the Quarterback 5 times for sacks. Unfortunately the regular season success did not follow the Grey Ducks into the playoffs where they lost in the first round to the London Royals. After the season ended Lyle got to celebrate as he heard his name called in the second round of the ISFL Draft by the Baltimore Hawks. There was discussions about possibly moving up to Baltimore right away, but after discussing it in depth, the decision to send Lyle back to Minnesota for a second season was made.

S47-Minnesota Grey Ducks

Lyle stayed down for a second season in Minnesota while his fellow starting LBs(Beanman, Scaletta) both got the call up to the ISFL. In his second season with the Grey Ducks, Lyle stated the season helping out on the front line by playing DE. He moved back to his LB position after an early season waiver claim of Garfield Despacito. Lyle couldn't recreate his strong numbers from his rookie season, possibly because of the position changes, but still managed to throw up 29 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and 3 sacks. The Grey Ducks secured home field advantage through the playoffs with a league leading 11-3 record, but ultimately fell in the first round again, this time to the eventual champion Portland Pythons. Following the season, Baltimore informed Lyle of the plan to bring him up to the club and shift him to Safety. Lyle has been heard saying that he is willing to play whatever position is necessary to help the Baltimore Hawks win in the upcoming season.

S48 - Baltimore Hawks

Lyle was excited to begin his career in the ISFL. Upon arriving in Baltimore, Lyle was informed he would be playing as a nickelback (This is how you remind me), for his first season. Lyle was more than happy to adapt into any role the Hawks needed him to overtake in order to help the team out in his ultimate goal of winning a championship. And to that end they almost accomplished this, making it all of the way to the finals where unfortunately there run ended. Lyle was adjusting to playin a new position, (after moving back from linebacker) in a new city, Baltimore but he still made the most out of the opportunity and learn and continue to grow into the star player he feels he is. While his stats weren't anything mind blowing, he didn't enter the season expecting to blow away the pundits with eye popping stats. His 9 tackles and 1 sack where just a taste of what is to come when he settles into his safety position in S49.
