Professional career
In his debut DSFL season, Aaron Jäger showcased his skills and made a notable impact on the field. As a wide reciever, he quickly established himself as a reliable target for his quarterback, displaying his athleticism, size, and ability to create yards after the catch. Jäger's performance was highlighted by his high number of receptions, accumulating 86 catches throughout the season. His impressive yards gained, averaging 13.5 yards per catch, demonstrated his ability to make substantial gains for his team. Jäger's contribution extended beyond just catches, as he recorded 9 touchdowns, solidifying his value to the team's offense. He still felt as though he could have contributed more in order to bring his team out of last place for the north conference, however, despite the team falling short of making the playoffs, Jäger's first season laid a foundation for future success, and he emerged as a player to watch in the league, and established himself as a solid player going into the S42 draft.
Aaron Jäger's rookie year (S42) in the ISFL has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows. As a newcomer to the league, he faced the challenges of adapting to the faster pace, as well as stronger defenses. It was evident from the start that this season would be a challenging for him. The aren't all that many highlights for Jäger to look back on this season.Jäger had some good games, making impressive catches and scoring a few touchdowns. However, these rare moments of glory were overshadowed by the overall mediocrity of the team's performance and Jager's individual struggles. The lower points of the season were abundant. Jäger faced setbacks with dropped passes, missed opportunities, and difficulty in connecting with the quarterback. Reflecting on the season, Jäger recognized that there are areas he could have improved upon. One area in particular that he struggled with was drops, which he stated he would dedicate much of his offseason training in order to minimize.
In S43, Jäger was able to make strong improvements in his own game that reflected in his end of year statistics. Significantly increasing his number of catches, yards, and especially touchdowns, all while keeping his drops and fumbles at similar levels to the previous season. Despite his individual improvements, his team still struggled the regular season and ultimately failed to reach the playoffs again. Jäger is hoping that this upcoming season will finally be his time to see the post-season from beyond his couch. He struggled to connect with his new quarterback this season, not getting as many long passes as he would like to see in order to fully utilize his high speed, however with some work in the off season Jäger believes they will be able to overcome this. Beyond those struggles, Jäger is on record stating that he is proud of how he played this season and is optimistic for the team going into season 44, with a renewed 3 year contract on the Otters.
