Mako Mendonca Jr (born October 10, 2039) is an American football linebacker for the Tijuana Luchadores of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Mako Mendonca Jr is the youngest son of ISFL Hall of Fame RB Mako Mendonca and international USA field Hockey goalkeeper Haddie Minch. Mako won born in Austin Texas and grew up watching his father play for the team. Growing up watching his father play meant that from a very early age all Mako Jr wanted to do was play as well, as the youngest of 4 children he was often going head to head with his two older brothers. As he grew up he found that being the son of a famous football star meant that when he played in little league and at school the expectations on him were very high, but he always did his best to live up to them. He payed in a variety of positions when young both on offense and defense playing at quarterback, linebacker and safety. He led his school team to many victories and was quickly spotted by college scouts as a player to watch.

College career

In high school Mako Jr played on both sides of the ball but this all changed coming into college. Texas Tech (which as well as being a great football college was also his local college) tested him in both QB and ILB and both they and him discovered that playing at ILB was where his skills truely lay. At QB he didn't have the right height and despite having the athletism and intellegence his arm strength wasn't the best but at ILB he could lead the defense, see and call out the opposing teams plays and be an absolute menace. Mako Jr moved around between ILB, OLB and safety to keep the opposing team on their toes, he had sacks, forced fumbles, interceptions, tackles for loss, never the most of a single one of these but he collected them all over his 3 seasons leading the Texas Tech defense. He left Texas Tech to follow his in his father's footsteps and to follow his dream of playing in the ISFL.
