Lucid Dreams (born January 8, 2023) was an American football defensive end. He played college football for Boise State University (BSU).

Early years

Lucid was born in Las Vegas, Nevada but spent most of his childhood and teenage years moving state to state enrolling in three Middle Schools and four High Schools. Including one in Boise, Idaho. It was while playing in Boise that his Passion for Football and the atmosphere that surrounds Boise State University was born. Football became Lucid’s only constant. While playing all four years of High School he was never able to move beyond second on the depth chart at both Defensive End and Linebacker positions. Due to the consistent moving Lucid’s play suffered as he was lacking the fundamental techniques most Collegiate scouts insisted would be necessary for success at the next level. Because of this Lucid did not receive a single Collegiate offer. Determined to continue playing football after enrolling at Boise State University Lucid was able to achieve his dream when making the team as a walk on.

College career

As a true Freshman Lucid walked on at Boise State University and made his presence known almost immediately both on and off the field. Adapting the motto ""Refuse to be Outworked"". His leadership and dedication to the team turned Lucid into a four year starter after an injury forced him into the starting position. A position he wouldn’t relinquish until graduation. While his Freshman year was great for his personal growth the Broncos struggled missing the conference championship game and finishing unranked. This would be the last time either of those things happened while Lucid was on campus. Lucid’s Sophomore year saw BSU go undefeated in conference play and finish the season with only one loss on their record; Bringing home both the Mountain West Championship and Winning the Rose Bowl. Lucid’s Junior year he finished top 3 in the Nation in Sacks and Tackles for a Loss Helping to lead Boise State to their first ever College Football Playoff Birth and National Championship. Lucid’s senior year saw him take another giant step forward In progression setting a Team Single Season Sack Record of 23 sacks and finishing just one shy of the NCAA Record. Boise State would finish 3rd in the Country after their undefeated season came to an end with a missed kick in Overtime of the College Football Playoffs Semi finals game. Lucid would leave Boise State as the Teams leader in Single Season and Career Sacks while also breaking the NCAA record for most Sacks in a Career.
