Ben Goodwood (born May 21, 2030) is an American football runningback for the Portland Pythons of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Ben Goodwood was born in the Heart of America, Kansas City, in the year 2030, to mother Love and father Richard Goodwood. Growing up, Ben always had a passion for the sports. His two favourites from young were soccer and American Football, sports where his natural speed and athleticism allowed him to shine. As he grew into his teens, Ben began to drift more towards soccer, where he shined, despite having a preference for football, where his lack of height left him at a disadvantage when compared to his competitors. However, in Ben's Junior Year of High School, he experienced a massive growth spurt, sprouting to 6 foot 2 inches from just 5 foot 6. This allowed him to refocus his efforts onto the sport he loved, and he began to excel at running back for his High School. His Senior Year was his breakout season, and after being named an All-American runningback and winning the State Championship, he committed to play for the University of Missouri, wanting to stay close to his parents.

College career

College was a big change for Ben as he was no longer surrounded by scrubs on the field who he could dominate with ease, but rather real competition, something which he had not faced in a while. Despite being just the 3rd choice running back for the Mizzou Tigers in his freshman year, Ben was committed to the grind, and after a summer of grinding for his sophomore year, Ben was named the starting running back for the opening game of the season. His coach did not regret this decision as Ben broke the schools single-season rushing yard record, running for 1,800 yards across the course of the season good for 17 touchdowns. Despite this amazing year, Goodwood wanted one more, before declaring for the draft. This was a wise decision by Goodwood, as he would go on to break the 2,000 yard rushing barrier, something never seen before in school history, topped off by 20 Touchdowns, also a school record. After this, Ben was ready to declare for the DSFL draft, where he would be selected in the second round by the Portland Pythons.
