Before the DSFL draft, Animal Blundetto was picked up through waivers by the Dallas Birddogs. Although he would only minimally contribute, he was a part of the roster for their S46 Ultimini victory. Blundetto was picked in Round 5, pick 40 of the DSFL draft by the Portland Pythons. Blundetto did not enter the most ideal situation to make a name for himself, as he was going to be the third running back joining the roster. He would be competing for carries with other exciting young players, American Dream and Gucci Gurley. However, in training camp and preseason, Blundetto rose to the top of the depth chart. Throughout the season, Blundetto would receive the majority of the carries, finishing with 185 while Gurley and Dream tallied 104 and 99, respectively. Blundetto's very first game impressed the DSFL world, as he ran 14 times for 116 yards, averaging 8.3 yards per carry. Many media outlets began saying he was the steal of the draft. However, this would actually be Blundetto's season high in yards for the season. The Pythons struggled early in the season, beginning 1-4. However, the young team were not discouraged, and as the "three headed dragon" backfield of three running backs began to perform more effectively, they would go on to win eight of their next nine games. After securing a playoff spot in week 14 with a win against the London Royals, the Pythons were slated to play the Minnesota Grey Ducks in the conference final. The Pythons performed a stunning comeback after being down 27-0, scoring 28 unanswered points, 21 of them in the fourth quarter, to win the game 27-28 and secure their ticket to the Ultimini against the Tijuana Luchadores. This would also be a hard-fought game, but the Pythons would win 28-23, with Blundetto finding the endzone twice to make a solid contribution to the championship.

Animal Blundetto (born November 5, 2050) is an American football runningback for the Portland Pythons of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Animal Blundetto was born in Hochatown, Oklahoma. He was born to father Creature Blundetto and mother Annabelle Blundetto. He was known to have engaged in manual labor at a young age in order to assist his parents on their rural plot of land. Due to his apparent strength, he was persuaded by a coach at Broken Bow High School to pursue sports. Initially being placed at a lineman position, after filling in for an injured running back during practice, Animal was witnessed by his coaches excelling as a powerful, crushing runner. After transitioning this success to actual games, Animal officially moved to running back. Animal began attracting college scouts while still a junior in high school. Despite not winning many games, Animal was a standout performer, and his tough running style even caused some parents to complain that he was a danger to his sons due to his strength and aggressivness when fighting off tackles. During his senior season, Animal accepted an offer to play for Louisiana State University.

College career
