Zack Vega (born August 1, 2002) is an American football quarterback for the Minnesota Grey Ducks of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL). He played college football for the University of Michigan before being drafted by the Arizona Outlaws in the 2034 ISFL Draft (S19). Prior to this, he had been drafted by the San Antonio Marshals in the 2033 DSFL Draft (S18).

Early years

Zack Vega was born to a small family in the fast growing city of Greenville, South Carolina. He grew up loving sports, playing baseball, soccer, football, and basketball regularly. He got into football early, however, winning often and leading his team to championships as a Quarterback. He learned from his father, who used to play in the NFL as a Quarterback, on how to play the position with class and style. As he grew up, he slowly created his game around his idol, Tom Brady. He would watch film on Tom every minute he could, practicing everything he did. He didn't do a lot in high school, until his senior year in which he broke multiple state and school records and lead his team to the state championship, in which he won by throwing for over 400 yards and 5 TDs. During his tenure in high school, his parents constatntly voiced disapproval of their son's injury troubles, which lead to an investigation into the medical staff, leading to their firing.

College career

Despite his high school success, he wasn't a highly recruited guy. He got an offer from Michigan as a three star recruit and was redshirted his freshmen year. he had to wait until third year in Michigan, but as a redshirt sophomore he started for the Wolverines, and lead them to a 8-4 record, their best since 2025. In his redshirt junior year, he took a massive step forward, throwing for over 5000 yards and winning the heisman trophy, winning the national championship for the Wolverines. After the death of his father, he came back to college to complete his education, which was his fathers last wish for him to do. He won the heisman again, breaking the same records he set last year, throwing for more yards, touchdowns, even having a school record 62 yard hail mary pass to complete a 17 point comeback against Ohio State to keep their season undefeated. He would proceed to dedicate his national championship to his father, a game he would win, breaking multiple records set by Joe Burrow of LSU.

Professional career

DSFL career

In his rookie season, Zack had a decent year as a starting QB while leading his team to the ultimini, only to lose. He had the third best passer rating at 78 and a touchdown total of 11 with 8 interceptions. He came third in yards as well, with a total of 2496 and a 59% passing completion percentage. In his second year, he declined a lot, throwing for 7 touchdowns and 16 interceptions with a passer rating of 56.7 and only totaling 1713 passing yards. However, his team's win total increased to 9-5. His disappointment with this has been chronicaled in the media, with various articles and comments. "He is our franchise quarterback, next question" has been the number one statement made by the head office of the Grey Ducks. "I have no real explanation." was what Zack stated while meeting with the media after a week 10 thrashing at Portland. He was asked again about his season a few questions later, he proceeded to walk away from the press conference. It would be the last time he met with the media that season.
