Tony The Assassin Yeboah (born April 20, 2018) is an American football safety who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Tony's parents, Anthony and Delilah, are Ghanaian immigrants who moved to the Hicksville area in 2010. Tony was a two sport star at Hicksville High School, starring in football and soccer. He played QB/DB for the football team and was made team captain his sophomore year. He played the majority of his DB snaps at strong safety gaining a reputation as a relentless tackling machine due to his high motor and hard hitting style. In his junior year he led the team to the state championship game for the 1st time in their history although they lost the game 30-27. Rivals.com named him a 3 star recruit at QB and DB. He fielded few D1 offers due to playing at a small high school program. The highest profile offer he received was from Penn State to play exclusively at safety as they felt he would be better suited to being a safety and they already had better options at QB.

College career

Tony attended Penn State from 2036-2038.

Going into his freshman year he wasn't a starter but he was stated to be a big part of the rotation. Through the first six games, Tony had 35 tackles, a sack, 2 forced fumbles and a interception. Due to a injury Tony was pushed into a starting role where he started to gain national recognition due to his old school, hard hitting style. In his first few starts he had several highlight hits which trended on social media and led to him being given his nickname "The Assassin". Penn State went 11-2 during the regular season and they finished the season ranked 7th in the country which led them to a Rose Bowl berth against USC. In the Rose Bowl, Tony had a strong performance with 10 tackles, 2 sacks and a forced fumble but on the final drive of the game with the scored tied at 49-49, Tony had a chance to make a drive ending play on 4th down and he slipped, missing the tackle which let the USC receiver gain a 1st down. USC would go on to to score a game winning field goal on that drive with the game finishing 52-49. Tony finished his freshman year with 98 tackles, 6 sacks, 5 forced fumbles and 3 interceptions.

In his sophomore year, Tony was named a starter. He and Penn State had another strong year, Tony finished with 135 tackles, 8 sacks, 4 forced fumbles and 4 interceptions. Penn State went 11-1 in the regular season and they finished the season ranked 9th in the country which led to a cotton bowl classic berth against Memphis. Penn State won the game 53-39. Tony was named defensive MVP of the game after he got 14 tackles, a sack, 2 tackles for loss and a forced fumble. Tony was also named a all-american. He decided to forego his next two years and declare for the draft.
