Teddy Utterstruzen (born April 1, 2019) was an American football safety. He played college football for University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) before declaring for the Season 24 DSFL draft.

Early years

Teddy was born in Miami, FL, and given up to adoption at birth. His adopting parents, Charlene, a truck driver, and Cheryl, a doctor, were always very supportive of his ambition to play football and make a career out of it. Teddy went to Gulliver Prep in Pinecrest, Florida where he played Running Back and rushed for a state record of 45 Touchdowns in one season. At times he even took a bunch of defensive snaps as Linebacker, due to his sheer size being bigger than most of his teammates already at a young age, effectively playing both sides of the ball. Coming out of High School he was a 4 star recruit as Running Back, even tho teams also showed interest in him due to his Defensive Play. Alot of Colleges were ultimately surprised when he commited to UNLV, as he had alot of offers from strong power 5 colleges.

College career

As a true freshman in 2036, Utterstruzen went through a position switch from Running Back to Safety and therefore didnt get many snaps in the beginning, but throughout the season he gradually transitioned to being the starting strong safety of the Rebels. His favourite player in football is Kam Chancellor, which made him even more excited for his switch to Safety. Ever since making the positional transition, he tried to model his play after his idol. His aggressive tackling and ferocious hits earned him the Nickname Bean, half beast half man. Teddy has been one of the most thoroughly scouted players in this years DSFL draft and is leaving College as one of the top prospects heading into his professional career. Utterstruzens affliction towards gambling has been thoroughly mentioned by his coaching staff, however adding that he has never missed a single practice or game, despite sometimes showing up covered in Glitter and smelling of undisclosed things

Professional career

SEASON 24 (DSFL)

Coming off of a strong College career, Teddy Utterstruzen came into the DSFL with flaring guns. He started playing alot of Nickleback at the beginning of the season and started of with an incredible 3 Games stretch, making a strong case already for being in the running for Rookie of the year. However, after those first three games, Teddy's next games saw a steep decline in performance, it is said that he dealt with a groin injury (allegedly from an after party after smacking the tweetdogs) and had to play through with it. After fully recovering from aforementioned injury, Utterstruzen started being used as a strong safety, despite safety being one of the deepest positions in Myrtle Beach, but more aligning with his College Position. In the following Games Teddy put up amazing performances, also earning him a nomination for the DSFL award for best single game performance of the season, with his stellar performance in Week 13, recording 6 Tackles, 1 Sack, 1 PD, and one interception, showing off his multipurpose talent. With his performance in Season24 Teddy Utterstruzen was also selected as one of the defensive team captains by his peers, due to his On- and Off-Field performances and attitude, cementing his position as one of the staples in the Myrtle Beach defensive backfield. In an unfortunate gerrymandering scheme, his Team, the Myrtle Beach buccs, missed out on the playoffs this year, but rest assured, preseason preparation for Utterstruzen already began the second Season 24 ended, and he will once again strive to be the staple in the backfield to this time lead the Buccs to a playoff appearance.
