Tae "Channel 7" Dawson (born September 9, 2028) is an American football cornerback for the Berlin Fire Salamanders of the National Simulation Football League (ISFL).

Early years
"Tae Royal Dawson was born September 9th 2029 in Galveston Texas to his mother Ava Dawson, a colligate track athlete for LSU, and his father Ramel Dawson who was a police officer, Ramel was shot in January of 2031 while responding to a traffic stop along Seawall Boulevard and was pronounced dead while in the ambulance, He died at just 24 years old. Without his father in his life, Childhood became very difficult, Dawson moved to different schools in Texas and Louisiana until the family moved back to Galveston. Dawson began playing football in 4th grade after he didn't make the tryout for the basketball teams as he was seen as too short of making an impact on the court, Dawson's physical education teacher recommended he try football where he would make the team and initially play free safety. At Ball High School, A school is known for producing athletes, Dawson would split duties playing as a Wide Receiver and Cornerback for his freshman and sophomore years before becoming permanently a cornerback. "
College career
As a true freshman at Alabama, Dawson would appear in 5 games and make a small impact in those games recording an interception and 6 passes defended. He would switch jersey numbers from 31 to 7 starting his sophomore season and would be a full-time starter appearing in 12 games but missing the rest of the season to a hand injury and would put up 2 interceptions,35 tackles and 10 passes defended. As a junior Dawson would have his best season yet appearing in all 14 games recording 3 interceptions, a forced fumble,36 tackles,12 passes defended, and a pick-six against Auburn for 60 yards. During a game against he broke up a pass against Arkansas which saw him jet towards his defender from out of nowhere, Alabama color commentator Steve Wilson gave him the nickname "Channel 7" in which he stated "Just like the news you have to watch this guy in the secondary if you're a quarterback, Its channel 7" Dawson would announce his decision to declare for the DSFL draft following his junior season.

Professional career
DSFL career
Tae Dawson was drafted in the 5th round pick 33 in the 2050 DSFL Draft by the Norfolk Seawolves, Completing the "Legion of Boom" defense alongside Ja'uan Holland and Graham Harper. Dawson recorded his first career interception in Week 1 against the Bondi Beach Buccaneers. Through his one season in Norfolk, he put up 58 tackles only missing 1. 18 Pass deflections and 4 interceptions in 14 games started. He recorded a forced fumble against the Dallas Birddogs in week 10. In 11 Dawson had his first pick-six against the Kansas City Coyotes in week 11. In the Norfolk Seawolves Ultimini run, Dawson recorded an interception against the Tijuana Luchadores in the Conference matchup. Dawson later went on to win the Ultimini against Kansas City in a 23-14 victory. Dawson was later nominated for cornerback of the year and was considered a consensus top 3 cornerback in the 2051 ISFL Draft.
