Ruhu Rush (born October 1, 1998) is an American football safety who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks.He played college football for Buffalo before going undrafted in the 2038 ISFL Draft (S23).

Early years

"Ruhu Rush was born in Akron, Ohio to Rowdy and and Juliet Rush. His father Rowdy was a high school biology teacher while his mother workedas a nurse at the local hospital. Ruhu Rush has been has been known to cite his parent's as his greatest supporters on multiple occasions. Rush is an only child. Rush attended Akron High School where he primarily played linebacker and safety for the Tigers. Although Rush focused his attention soley football, he was not very highly recruited out of high school. He was considered an above average defensive back but as he had not yet grown into his frame he was not thought to have the size to compete at the next level. His only D1 offers out of high school were Georgia Southern, UTEP, and Buffalo. He ultimately decided to attend the latter to remain in the Northeast. Between his senior year of high school to the start of his college career rush would add nearly 35 pounds to his frame."

College career

"Ruhu Rush was a three year starter for the Buffalo Bulls at strong safety. His time with the team oversaw some of the most successful runs in the team's history. His freshman year, Rush finished with 65 total tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 interception as the team finished with a 6-6 record. Rush was recognized for his efforts with a Second-team All-MAC selection.

His Sophmore season saw Rush take his game to the next level as he lead the team with 81 total tackles to go along with 4 forced fumbles and 1 interception. Rush's breakout season coincided with a 10-4 record and bowl appearance for the Bull's.

Rush's play remained at a high level for his senior season. He lead the Bull's defense to a 8-5 record and the first bowl win in school history. Rush lead the team with 92 total tackles and was awarded MAC defensive player of the year for his efforts. Rush deferred his senior season to declare for the DSFL draft. "
