Rick "Bigger" Diggersbee (born August 15, 2044) is an American football defensive tackle for the Bondi Beach Buccaneers of the DSFL. He played college football for Vanderbilt University.

Early years

The son of oil tycoon Truett Diggersbee and wife Mary Sue Virginia Charlotte Diggersbee, Rick was born to play in the trenches. At birth he weighed 14 pounds 6 oz, and used his size to defend his binkie from his parents until the age of fifteen. He further utilized his size on his father's ranch, where he would often shove Longhorn cattle to the ground as a pastime.

As a Freshman at Stonebridge Hall Academy, he was forced to join the school's Offensive Line the second he walked in the doors. He quickly made his impact there, averaging 13 pancake blocks a game across his high school football career, where he started all four seasons. "He's just a big big boy," said an opposing coach in a 2060 interview, with a bewildered smirk on his face. "We can preach technique and fundamentals all we want, but there's only so much you can do against a boy that big."

College career

After some controversy involving his father allegedly ensuring Rick's admission acceptance with a sizeable "donation," Rick committed to play for the Commodores of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Rick was benched for the majority of his Freshman season due to off field behavior, in which he was arrested for underage drinking and public intoxication after consuming the entire contents of a keg of Miller Lite in just under three hours. However, he started his Sophomore season and exploded on to the scene, racking up an average of 8 pancake blocks per game. However, this did not necessarily translate to success, as he also was responsible for seven sacks allowed in his Sophomore season. "Big boys don't exactly equate to good football knowledge," said the at the time head coach of Vanderbilt University, Michael Dean. "If we can get him to start actually blocking people and not just shoving them over he might be an elite big boy."

Thankfully, he dedicated some time to actually learning how to play football, and the remainder of his college career was stellar. Rick was named a two time All SEC selection, averaging two sacks allowed per season, but still racking up the pancakes at an average of almost nine per game. When asked what his plans were for his professional career, Rick simply replied "Block."

Professional career

DSFL

Diggersbee was selected in the second round with the fifteenth overall pick by the Bondi Beach Buccaneers. Shortly after being drafted, he was switched over to fill a need at Defensive Tackle, his GMs citing his freaky athleticism and surprising agility for such a big boy as another main reason for the position swap. During his first season at Bondi, he was a first team all-pro DSFL selection, known for huge stops in the backfield on both rushing and passing plays. When asked if his experience at the Offensive Line position in college prepared him to beat blockers as a defensive lineman, Rick simply replied "Yes." After a devastating loss in the conference championship to the Norfolk Seawolves, Rick was seen throwing full kegs against the wall repeatedly to break them open, and then proceeding to consume the contents of the keg. He refused comment in post game press conferences and wasn't seen in public until the ISFL Combine. There are theories that he took a vow of silence and retreated to a Tibetan monastery to center his thoughts away from rage, but there are several uncorroborated reports that claim to have seen Diggersbee in an underground Sumo league in Shinjuku of the Tokyo prefecture under the assumed name "ホルード (Horudo)"

After being drafted in the Season 54 ISFL Draft by the Black Forest Brood, Rick was asked to play a second season with Bondi while Black Forest prepared their rebuilding team to hit the ground running in season 55. Rick, when asked what his goals would be for his second season in the DSFL with Bondi, replied "Ring." Since that interview, Rick has been sighted in various Navy museums punching submarines with his bare fists. Multiple museum employees have reported being too afraid to attempt to calm the big boy, even when noticeable damage to the submarines has been recorded.

Rick was nominated for several DSFL awards, including a slot on the DSFL All-Pro team, the DSFL South Pro Bowl roster, and nominations for Defensive Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and Most Valuable Player. However, Diggersbee did not come away with any wins in the league honors. Rick was asked if he agreed with the results, to which he said "Yeah," but was noticeably disappointed.

ISFL

Diggersbee was a standout in the ISFL Combine, tying with Griffin Stone for second in the class in the three cone drill, and losing out on class leader in the Vertical Jump to Faramir Took by .1 inches. Rick was seen eating a footlong Italian sub immediately after each of his combine events in celebration. Rick was also rumored to have taken part in the Kicker's Challenge, but no data from that attempt has been found. [Note, all inquiries into this attempt are to be referred to The Foundation.] This, combined with his stellar on-field performance and notable off-field charisma, made his draft stock skyrocket, with Casino bookies making him an overall favorite to be selected in the first round.

Diggersbee was drafted with the first overall pick in the Season 54 ISFL Draft by the Black Forest Brood. GMs Jackie and Iri5h saw his athletic potential and wanted to add him to their growing defensive corps to stop the all important run game. When asked to comment, Diggersbee had this to say: "Spooder."
