Red Arrow (born October 17, 2013) is an American football wide receiver for the Kansas City Coyotes of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL). He played college football for Georgia Tech (GT) before being drafted by the Kansas City Coyotes in the 2035 DSFL Draft (S20).

Early years

Red Arrow was born in a small town in Columbus, Ohio. As a child, he was a multi-sport athlete, playing baseball, football, and golf. Arrow quickly excelled in the classroom and on the field. He played for both a national baseball and football team as a high schooler, winning gold medals in both at the Junior American Games for the respective teams. Football was always Arrow's passion. He was a diehard Cincinnati Bengals fan as a child and was on the couch every Sunday watching them play. Arrow first picked up a football in middle school and began as a quarterback. He was a very successful quarterback as a young child, but as he grew older he was advised by coaches to switch positions because of his arm strength. His natural athleticism made many positions possible for Arrow to play in high school, and he experimented with positions all over the field. Eventually he settled as a wide receiver in his second year of high school. As Arrow matured and his intelligence grew, his football IQ quickly became one of his best assets. As a high schooler he gained notoriety for creating a brand new playbook that led to 4 straight state championships. Arrow fielded many college scholarship offers, and he decided to attend Georgia Tech for both athletic and academic purposes.

College career

Arrow entered Georgia Tech with high expectations. He was going to be given every opportunity to gain a starting spot as a true freshman. Unfortunately, an ill-timed ACL tear took Arrow out of action before he could see the field. After a year of difficult rehab and physical therapy, Arrow finally worked his way back to the final game of Georgia Tech's season. In his first game, he amassed 189 yards and caught 3 touchdown passes in a dominating victory over rival Georgia. Arrow's junior season significantly raised his stardom. Arrow gained over 1,200 yards and set a new school record for receptions and receiving touchdowns. After leading Georgia Tech to a 2-loss season and appearance in the Citrus Bowl, Arrow faced a tough decision over whether to return to school or enter the DSFL draft. Facing a loaded receiver class, Arrow defied expectations and decided to stay at Georgia Tech for one final season. This would prove to be a worthwhile decision, as Arrow's senior year was spent setting the record books ablaze. Arrow set ACC records in yards and receiving touchdowns. Georgia Tech finished the regular season as ACC Champions and gained a spot in the Playoffs. Arrow would lead Georgia Tech to its first National Championship, capping off his collegiate career with a 189 yard, 2 touchdown game against an Alabama team loaded with NSFL talent. Arrow entered the DSFL Draft as a top receiving prospect in a large draft class.

DSFL career

Arrow was drafted 14th overall by the Kansas City Coyotes in the S20 DSFL Draft. Arrow's season started off slowly, as he struggled to have the ball find his hand and found himself as the third target for much of the season. Throughout this process, he stayed a solid presence in the locker room and had rave reviews as a teammate from coaches and players alike. Arrow caught his first touchdown pass in week 5, on his longest reception of the season - 30 yards. While he was scarcely targeted, he made good use of the passes he did catch, with his 12 yards per reception ranking him 15th in the DSFL. As one of the youngest players in the league, Arrow matured greatly over the course of the season and became a leader for a young Coyotes team. Arrow began being scouted towards the end of the season, with scouts being attracted to Arrow for his blazing speed and steadily improving route-running ability. At the NSFL Draft Combine, Arrow impressed with a top-5 finish in the 40 yard dash, and a top 15 finish in the vertical jump. Arrow's draft stock raised considerably after the combine, with reports that Colorado was the main team interested in Arrow.

Red Arrow was drafted 27th overall by the Colorado Yeti's in the third round of the S21 NSFL Draft. Arrow immediately signed a contract to stay with the Yetis for 3 seasons, and plans were made for him to start his career as the 3rd string wide receiver. He officially declared that he was not playing in the DSFL in Season 21 in a statement on Twitter, where he thanked the Coyotes for a great year. Arrow began his rookie NSFL season as the third string wide reciever for a promising Colorado team. The season started off slow for him, as he struggled to find consistent time on the field and when he did get on the field, he lacked the experience that allowed him to make the impact he desired. He finally broke out in the fourth game of the season, where he caught his first touchdown pass in a game where he had fifty total yards, a new personal high. The rest of the season was much stronger for Arrow, where he showed off his impressive speed with many deep passes. Arrow finished the season off with 296 yards, but his 17.4 average yards per reception ranked him eighth in the league. With three touchdowns on the season, he solidified himself as a legitimate threat in the NSFL. With a spot opening up at WR2 for the next season, Arrow looked poised to be ready for a breakout season. Arrow silently battled injuries throughout his rookie season. In the first game of his season, he partially tore his ACL. Doctors advised him to stay off the field, but Arrow refused to do so and continued to play against the doctors wishes. Arrow took great care to heal in between games, and throughout the whole season he was able to play with the care of a large brace on his right knee. During the next offseason, Arrow rehabbed the knee vigorously to ensure that he would start the next season perfectly healthy, doing anything it took to make sure that he would not re-injure the damaged right knee.
