Purdy Mediocre (born April 20, 2035) is an American football runningback who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Iowa State (IA) before going undrafted in the 2061 ISFL Draft (S46).

Early years

Purdy was born on a cool spring day on April 20th in Regina Saskatchewan Canada. In his first fall he spent a lot of the weekends sittign with his dad who spent almost every weekend watching both the Canadian Football league as well as College the ISFL. This was Purdy's first exposure to football at it seemed to only grow his interst from there. At a young age he started with flag football and eventually ended up playing minor where he played a varity of postions. But growing up around the game he seemed to form a very good udnerstanding of defenses and loved having the ball in his hands. Naturally this would make him a quaterback but because of a desire to be on the defensive side of the ball as well he settled on playing running back and DB. He would go on to win three high school championships in a row before being heavily recruited into the US to play college football. In the end Purdy would decide on playing for Iowa State after they rolled out the red carpet for him on his recuiting trip there.

College career

Once Joining Iowa State Purdy Mediocre found an entire new love for the game. In his mind and his own drive to compete he felt as though he was finally on an equally playing field with the rest of the teams. He used this as a fuel of sorts to drive himself to be even better as he had always wanted to be the best of the best. Being at college he was able to meet with some of the best trainers in the world he was able to really fine tune his skills at the RB level. Despite not winning a national title in his time there Purdy was able to set multiple in school records as well get himself ready to take the next big step into the ISFL. After completing 3 seasons Purdy felt he was ready to make the jump and declared after the trade deadline for the DSFL. This meant he was able to be picked up by a DSFL team for a late season push and potentially playoffs before the season 73 DSFL draft and then the 74 ISFL Draft. The future looks bright for this young Running Back.

2061 ISFL scouting combine (S46)

S44 2059 Purdy was picked up for the final for games by the Minnesota Grey Ducks in order to try to help put the team over the edge for their playoff push. However they would still fall short unable to secure that final playoff spot. It was a great introduction into the league for Purdy Mediocre because he was able to actually get into the games and get a few touches. Despite the limited use He was able to get some positive yards and not be a liability as he picked up 2 pancakes and did not allow a sack. It was a good experience overall and Purdy will take these lessons into both the DSFL draft and into the next season. In the 4 games with the Grey Ducks Purdy was able to pick up 34 yards on 5 touches. It was an adjustment period as well as he needed to adapt from the speed of college level to the pro level. Again all learning experiences he will take into the next season.

S45 2060 Purdy was selected with the 5th pick in the second round by the Kansas City Coyotes. After some positive scouting talks with many teams Purdy did slide down the draft list with other teams taking running backs before him. Once being selected by the Coyotes Purdy went to work and was able to be a key part in the offence helping them to a 7-7 record which was good enough with the tie breakers to put them top of the conference. The season was a strong rookie campaign for Medicore who was able to break 1000 yards rushing. This was a solid outing but nothing compared to his rookie rookie counterpart Turbo. In the end it was a solid rookie season and a good outing which lead the Coyotes to the playoffs. They would get by round 1 with a few great performances before coming up short to the juggernaut that is The Luchadores. In the end it was a strong and promising outing for Mediocres rookie campaign before going into the ISFL draft this coming offseason.

S46 2061 KCC runs out of steam. With the S46 season coming to a close the Yotes missed the playoffs after dropping the season series to London. Though it was a tough season there were many highs and lows as Purdy shared the backfield with a new rookie this season! Together they put up some great numbers. Purdy was just shy of the 1000 yard mark as he ended with 991 and 4 TDS with an average of 4.9 yards per carry on 204 attempts. He also added another 454 yards in the air with 1 TD. Perhaps one of the biggest highlights for him was the punt return for a TD though which was a first for his career. Together the Yotes were able to battle to a 7-7 record and finished 3rd in the conference. After a QB change halfway through the season the Yotes were able to battle back and found themselves fighting for a playoff spot but ended up short.
