Omar Wright Jr. began his Sophmore season as the starting weakside LB for the Oklahoma Soooners team, a position in which he would struggle mightily in. Omar Wright Jr. would be shut down for the season after five games so he could see a knee specialist regarding lingering effects from his ACL tear. His Junior year Omar again started at OLB for the Sooners, and wirh his inury complications in the past, excelled in this role where he would post 150 tackles along with 11 sacks. Unfortunatley despite his individual sucess the team struggled and missed out on playing any bowl games. His senior year Omar Wright built upon his previous sucessful season, tallying 164 tackles, but only 7 sacks this season. Again despite his solid play the Sooners again missed out on bowl contention.
