Nicholas Ayers (born August 13, 2015) is an American football runningback for the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Nicholas Ayers was born in Mesa, Arizona on August 13, 2015 to his parents Amy and Mark Ayers. He grew up with 3 other siblings, and one half sibling who served in the military. He grew up with no sports background, rather deferring to music as he grew up. He explored many genres of music growing up, and decided to play the Clarinet and Drum Set throughout elementary and junior high school. In high school, he joined his local schools Marching Band and also joined his local Drum Corps in the State. However, in his sophmore year, he was recruited by his school's coaches to play for their team, which meant he had to drop his music to play football. As he played in High School, he was scouted by many schools in the Pac-12 Divsion and the Mountain West Division. At National Signing Day, he elected to stay in state and signed to Arizona State. "

College career

Ayers made sure to make his way on to campus very early to begin training, and to begin building relationships with his coaches and staff. He elected to make his major Jazz Performance for Percussion, as he was a jazz drummer throughout Junior High and High School. Ayers was redshirted his freshman year due to his short stature, which movtivated him to do well his Sophmore Year. It was at this time that he built up his weight and took surgery to make his height and size better. Each of these were resounding successes, and he made his way to the field sophomore year, filling the hole of the previous Running Back Fernando Gomez. Ayers was absolutely dominant his sophomore year and helped the Sun Devils get pulled out of their losing record streak, ending the year with a 7-2 record in the Pac-12 and a 11-3 record overall, making their way to the Alamo Bowl on December 30th, 2033. His Junior turned out to make a bigger success for Ayers, but not nessesarily for Arizona State, as they ended the year 4-5 record in the Pac-12 and a 7-7 record overall, not qualifying them for the postseason. His senior year, he helped carry the offense to a very successful season, resulting in a 8-1 record in the Pac-12 and a 12-2 record overall, making them qualify for the National Championship that year. They lost to Ohio State 30-42, but it cemented Ayers into the ranks of the Arizona State lore, and making him an AP All-American.

DSFL Career

Nicholas Ayers was drafted 24th Overall by the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers in the 2037 DSFL Draft. With his draft, he immediately dedicated himself to growing himself by making an impression on the field and in the locker room. His first regular-season game, it was evident that he would be splitting carries with another Running Back. A member of his same draft class, 3' Jeffery, who was quite faster and frankly, overall better than he was at that moment. Unfortunately, he started out the season not making the impression that he wanted to make on the field, and when he reached the middle of the season, among other backs in the league, he looked as if he wouldn't be such a stud as he had hoped. Is was at this moment that Ayers dedicated himself to his craft and made attempts to improve every mark. He hit his stride when he bulked up, got stronger, and got faster, making more and more elusive moves and making more impressive stats. In Week Eight, at home versus the Portland Pythons, he ran for 128 yards and got One touchdown, sealing the low scoring game as Portland couldn't finish the game on top. In Week 10, Ayers got 2 touchdowns and 101 yards, being on of his top performances. The Myrtle Beach Buccaneers didn't manage to make the playoffs Ayers' rookie season, but he ended his first year much differently than the start of the year, and now, according to many NSFL Draft Analysts and the community as a whole, he is the best Running back prospect heading into the 2038 NSFL Draft.

After the draft, to which he was drafted to the Honolulu Hahalua, he was determined to have a consistent season, not a slow rise to greatness. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, as he did have to deal with the dreaded sophomore slump.
