Nate Donald Swift (born January 4, 2005) is an American football wide receiver for the Yellowknife Wraiths of the National Simulation Football League (NSFL). He played college football for University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) before being drafted by the Yellowknife Wraiths in the 2028 ISFL Draft (S13).

Early years

Nate Swift grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, son of a two former UNL collegiate athletes. His mother, Nadia, was a star libero on the volleball team, and his father, Luke, was the starting shortstop all four years. Nate followed their lead being a standout 3 sport athlete at Omaha Tech, lettering in Football, Basketball, and Baseball. However, his accolates only garnered division 2 offers. This didn't stop him from achieving his lifelong goal, so he walked on at his parent's alma mater, as a wide reciever for the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers.

College career

Swift took a redshirt his first year and wowed the coaches with his playmaking abilities. As a redshirt freshman, he earned a spot as a backup. His sophomore season marked a big jump is his playing time. He had a standout year out of the slot. The following two seasons he was awarded a scholarship. He made first team all Big-10 his senior year and helped lead the Huskers to back-to-back Big 10 Championships. Although he had a great season, he went undrafted in the DSFL draft. However, seeing his potential, the Tijuana Luchadores claimed him as an undrafted free agent.

Professional career

DSFL career

In season 12 of the DSFL, Swift showed great improvement and became the number 2 wide reciever for the team. He had a solid season, however the team floundered in the playoffs. In the offseason, Swift was drafted by the Yellowknife Wraiths as the first pick in the second round. However, they sent him back down to the DSFL for one more season. His next season with the Luchodores, his career truly took off. He became the no 1 overall wide receiver for the team, leading the league in touchdowns. The end of the season completed a longshot comback in which the Luchadores came back to make the playoffs. He scored 5 touchdowns in the last four games of the season and kept the trend in the playoffs. He scored in both games leading the Luchadores to an Ultimini Championship. His accolades earned him DSFL Wide Reciever of the Year honors.
