Matthew Bee (born August 17, 2001) is an American football safety who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks.He played college football for University of Minnesota and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years
Matthew Bee was born on 8/17/2001 to parents Sheri Bee and Jerimiah Bee. Matthew spent his childhood years in Duluth with one sibling, a brother, Jackson. Matthew played High School football as a dual threat Quarterback, as well as a safety at Duluth East High School. Matthew was able to lead Duluth east to back to back State championship berths, while winning 1 of these. Matthew was a stand out player on both sides of the ball. Matthew threw for over 8,000 yards and 50 TD's while quarterbacking the Duluth East Grayhounds, he also added over 3,000 yards rushing and an extra 20 TD's on the ground during his tenure starting quarterback. Matthew holds his school records in most all purpose yards as well as scores. Matthew was also a stellar defender, playing both Strong and free saftey during his time. Matthew averaged over 80 Tackles and 3 ints per season he started in the secondary, with his best season coming his senior year in which he racked up 113 tackles, and 7 Ints.
College career
Matthew decided to play for the University of Minnesota under coach P.J. Fleck. He came into the program as a day 1 starter and true freshman. His freshman year he struggled to keep the pace he had in High school, only securing 65 tackles and 16 passes defended. He did not manage to secure an interception during his true freshman season. During his sophomore season, he came into stride with his play, leading the team with 88 Tackles from the safety positon, along with 29 Passes defended, and 3 Interceptions. This was a major step forward, and he was named defensive MVP by his team during this time. The Minnesota golden gopers were lead by the stellar defensive core this season, managing to make it to the rose bowl, where they defeated texas 24-3. This was made possible by the great secondary Minnesota had, mimicing the No-Fly-Zone of old Seattle lore. Matthew rounded this game out with 6 Tackles, 4 PD's and 2 Int's making him the Rose Bowl MVP. Matthew was highly scouted during this game, and continued to impress in the combine, posting a 4.45 40 yard dash, and a 38" vertical.
