Lucius Salem (born December 23, 2023) is an American football Tight End for the Sarasota Sailfish of the International Simulation Football League (ISFL).

Early years

In his early years, Lucius grew up in South London with his parents Julia Salem and ex-American Footballer Kenneth Salem. Due to his father's previous involvement in the sport Lucius got involved in the sport at an early age growing up playing for the Kingston Cobras as an LB. By the age of 13, Lucius had set his sights of reaching the ISFL and to enable this the family moved to Athens, Georgia enabling Lucius to play his full 4 years of Varisty High School Football. Upon reaching High School Lucius moved to WR due to his speed and size, after limited snaps as a bakcup in his first 2 years Lucius showed his skills going for 1752 yds and 17 touchdowns in his Junior and Senior Years making him a 3 Star Recruit out of High School. Lucius eventually recieved 3 offers from Jackson State, Georgia Southern And UAB committing to the latter.

College career

After reaching college Lucuis was sitting low on the depth chart and was Redshirted, in his Redshirt Freshman season Lucius had worked his way up the depth chart to WR5 recieving a limited number of snaps and going for 178 yds and 2tds he suffered an ACL injury causing him to miss the rest of the season and the start of his Sophmore season. Once hitting the field in his Sophmore season as a WR3 Lucius soon showed his skills quickly rising up the depth chart to WR1 leading UAB with 958 recieving yds and 7 tds. He soon followed this up with impressive Junior and Senior seasons ctashcing 1034yds, 8tds and 1390 yds, 11tds. This meant Lucuis left UAB with the All Time Recieving Yards record and Single Season Recieveing Yards record.

Outside of the game Lucuis was arrested for a DUI in his Freshman season but after good behaviour managed to keep his place on the team proving his worth in future seasons.

DSFL career

2048 Season

Heading into the 2048 season Salem was drafted 8th Overall putting pressure on the rookie to proceed but he did not let down. Everyone knew he had the talent but off the field drinking issues had to be sorted out first which was stated many a time by media questioning the decision however Salem soon shut up any of these media personal up by producing over 300 yards and 23 receptions in preseason including 2 touchdowns against the coyotes showing why Salem wasn't to be doubted.

In the end Salem was a devastating option for Norfolk providing over 1300 yards on 80 receptions putting him near the top of many categories however in the end a lack of touchdowns due to being part of a stacked receiver room led to him being snubbed for any awards however this was not for vain as these yards helped to lead Norfolk to sneak into the playoffs eventually topping off the season by lifting the Ultimini trophy.

2049 Season

After an incredible rookie season, Salem knew it would be hard to improve however after moving up to the WR1 Spot the potential to improve opened up. After the team opened up the first half of the season 1-6 the hopes of making it back to the playoffs were slowly dying however this did not dim Salem's spirit. Even though the team eventually ended at a miserable 3-11 Salem finished the season at a league-leading 1489 yards as well as an additional 8 touchdowns.

Following on to the offseason Salem was high up multiple awards discussions, with this being a large goal of Salem's he was praying to have that precious moment. Heading into the draft night Salem was nominated for two awards, Wide Reciever and Offensive Player Of The Year. With an amazing season at Wide Reciever Salem ended up winning the Wide Reciever Of The Year Award topping of the end of a great DSFL award before a likely call up to the ISFL.

ISFL career

2050 Season

After 2 great seasons in the DSFL Salem was seen to be good enough to be called up to the ISFL however his ISFL career started off on the wrong foot. Moving from Norfolk To Sarasota Salem has quickly gouged into the local restaurant scene however by the time preseason rolled around Salem was already 40 pounds heavier. The Coaches quickly ridiculed him however after an offseason trade involving Sarasota receiving a new Wide Reciever Salem was moved to Tight End.

Salem hit the ground running in the season starting off with 2 touchdowns and 85 yards in week 1, Salem carried on this good form throughout the season eventually reaching just over 800 yards and 4 touchdowns including multiple 60+ yard touchdowns showing the added hamburgers and ribs in the offseason did not hurt his speed.

Entering into the offseason Salem was up there with the best of the TE's and rookies being Nominated for TE of The Year and Offensive Rookie of The Year barely missing out on the latter.

2051 Season

With a great rookie season under Salem's belt they aimed to carry on their performance level heading into 2051 and help lead Sarasota back into the playoffs. Salem started off the season on a slower pace with only 1 touchdown in their first 7 games however their lack of production was not holding back the Sarasota Offense with the team storming out to a 5-2 start and surely playoff bound. In the second half of the season this performance did not stop either with Salem stepping up and adding 5 more touchdowns in the final 9 games to help lead the team to an impressive 12-4 record finishing second in the NSFC and playoff bound.

In the playoffs Sarasota first faced Yellowknife in the wildcard game at home and in a close 25-22 victory Salem was nowhere to be seen with a measly 1 reception for 3 yards. Heading into the conference championship game hopes were high that Salem's production would increase and help Sarasota get into the Ultimus game. Although Salem's performance lacked again with only 4 receptions for 17 yards Sarasota curb stomped Chicago for a 22-2 victory. The players partied all night long knowing they were one step away from winning it all. Salem improved again in the ultimus game with 5 receptions for 31 yards however an impressive 4 down stop by the Honolulu defense on the final drive of the game led to Honolulu achieving back to back Ultimus wins in a 31-28 victory.

2052 Season

Coming off of a great season reaching the Ultimus and coming just short of the Ultimate Goal Salem was ready to help the team make the next step and win the championship, Heading into the Offseason Salem hit the gym hard fiending for a strong upcoming Season.

Sarasota started off the season a strong 8-1 quickly cementing themselves as the team to beat before successive losses to Colorado and Berlin, teams which should've been destroyed but anyone looking towards and Ultimus trophy, and a loss to Chicago. However Sarasota bounced back winning all 4 of the last games of the seasons to set themselves up with a strong 12-4 record and the 1 seed in the NSFC.

In The NSFC Championship game the Sarasota offense had shown why they where feared putting up an impressive 41 points against the Yellowknife Wraiths with Salem catching their first playoff touchdown. Heading into their 2nd Ultimus game in a row hopes were high for the Sailfish as this time the team was favoured to win however it had turned out they'd scored all their points in the NSFC Championship game only scoring a measly 11 points and the defense being unable to stop Sailor with Salem putting up a below average performance.

2053 Season

After the first of hopefully many 900+ yard receiving touchdowns Salem was quickly cementing themselves as a top Tight End in the league however they still lacked the top touchdown numbers seen by other Tight End's.

Moving onto season 38 legendary Sailfish receiver Saleem Spence had retired leaving a vacancy in that WR2 spot which would certainly help Salem get some more targets however the Sailfish traded for a mighty young receiver in Sconnie McSix. After having multiple Ultimus appearances the team was hoping to go the step forward and win the thing however the sim had other ideas, never being able to find their form and eventually stumbling to a measly 7-9 season far off many's preseason expectations.

As for Salem they his a personal low of just 796 receiving yards and a low of 75 receptions however they did manage to improve on the touchdown front scoring 7 touchdowns.

2054 Season

After Another Lackluster Season For Salem, They Were Hoping To Hit The Gym Hard With Their Teammates In The Offseason To Secure Themselves Greater Stats And Help Get The Team Back Into The Playoffs.

Starting The Season Off Hot The Sailfish Scored 30+ Points In Their First 5 Games Starting With A 4-1 Record With QB Knight Playing At A Legendary Level, This Performance Dropped Off A Tad During The Middle Of The Season Falling To A 7-5-1 Record However Ending The Season With 3 Much Needed Wins Sarasota Pushed Onward Towards The Playoffs As The Second Season.

First Up On The Road To The Ultimus Would Be The Chicago Butchers, A Close Back And Forth Game Went Down To The Wire But With The Sailfishes 2 PT Conversion Failing In The 4th Quarter They Eventually Lost The Game And Fell Short Again.

On A Personal Note, Salem Was Yet Again Very Efficient With Their Targets And The Gym Sessions Paid Off With A Ton Of Pancakes Resulting In A 1st Team All Pro Appearance

2055 Season

Coming Off A Great All-Pro Season Salem Had High Hopes To Reach The Playoffs Again However A Poor 3-5 Start To The Season Would Put A Huge Dent In These Hopes With The Competitiveness Of The NSFC. The Sailfish Would Not Give Up Until It Was Over Though But Sadly Due To A Few Crucial Losses And Tie Against Colorado Playoff Hopes Were Now Slim to None, A Miracle Was Needed To Make It. In The End, It Was Not To Be Though As Even Winning The Last 3 Games Of The Season Wouldnt Be Enough To Make The Playoffs With The Strength Of The NSFC.

For Salem, Another Season Of Putting Many A Defender On Their Ass Led Them To Amassing A Huge 62 Pancakes Which Yet Again Lead All Tight Ends. Combing With A Good Receiving Season Salem Repeated As A First Team All-Pro And Pro Bowler Hoping To Continue That On.

2056 Season

After Back To Back All Pro Seasons Salem Was Ready For Another Season Of Destroying The Opposing DBs. After Carter Knight Had Retired The Team Had Looked Towards The Young Rookie Sensation Willier Miller To Lead The Team To Glory, Following On From 2 Previous All Timers It Was A Hard Job To Follow.

The Season Started Of How Many Expected With The Sailfish Being An Average Team Whilst Miller Learnt The Ropes And The Team Restocked But From Week 6 Onwards The Team Just Clicked, They Began To Look Like Their Old Selves As If Knight Had Never Even Retired. Winning 7 Of 9 Games Put The Salifish In Prime Playoff Contention And Despite Faltering Performances In The Last 2 Games They Clinched The 3 Seed. Salem Mustered Up Another Great Season And They Hoped To Carry These Performances Into The Playoffs Where They'd Unusally Be The Underdogs.

In The Wildcard Game The Wraiths Couldn'tA Handle The Sailfish Offense Conceeding 40 Points With Salem Securing A Big Touchdown. They Knew The Next Game Would Be Tougher However And They Bowed Out Of The Playoffs.

Overall Another Great Season For Salem Had Them Achieve First Team All-Pro Honours For The 3rd Time In A Row And The Sailfish Overall Had An Unexpectedly Good Season To Build On.

2057 Season

Even Though Salem Is Starting To Get Older They Were Keen To Keep Up Their TE1 Status. Salem Started Off The Season On A Hot Streak With 4 Touchdowns And 400 Yards Through The First 6 Games Putting Them Well On Track To Beat Their Personals Bests And Finally Reach The Elusive 1000 Yard Season Though It Would Not Be An Easy Task With The Current State Of The NSFC.

Salem Carried This Pace On With A 75 Yard Walkoff Touchdown Against New Orleans To Help Bring The Team Back To 5-3 And Help Push Towards The Playoffs. In The End, However, A String Of Bad Results Ended Up Dropping The Sailfish To A Measly 8-8 Only Good Enough For 5th Place. The Soft Rebuild Was Still Underway. On A Personal Note The Season Did Manage To Finish On A High, Salem Had Done It Amassing An Incredible 1005 Yds To Reach The 1k Mark And Added A Sprink Of 9 Touchdowns And 64 Pancakes On Top. Yet Again Salem Reached Pro Bowl Honours And Amassed Their 4th Straight First Team All-Pro Proving Their Current Dominance In The Position.

2058 Season

The 2058 Season Started Off Hot With The Sailfish Jumping Out Of The Gates 3-0 And Had The Team In High Spirits With The Upcoming Harder Games. Other Than A Dominant Performance Against The Butchers Where Salem Went Off For 87 Yards And 2 Touchdowns The Team Couldn't Keep The Form Up Dropping Off To A Measly 4-4 However With The Hardest Of The Schedule Know Out Of The Way The Team Was Still Looking Towards A Playoff Push.

The Team Cemented This Push With Crucial Out Of Conference Victories Against Arizona And Austin. Overall Though This Season Was Not To Be As In The End The Sailfish Lost Crucial Games Against Colorado And Chicago To Miss Out On The Playoffs On Tiebreakers Wooing. Another Season And Another Near Miss As Has Recently Been The Trend. Salem Was Just Hoping For Another Chance At The Ultimus As The Creep Nearer To Retirement.

On The Personal Front Salem Wasn't Happy With Their Own Performance And Knew They Needed To Step Up To Help The Team Out More But Pundits And Other Players Still Recognised Them With A 7th Pro Bowl And 2nd Team All Pro Appearance.
