Lefty Emmett Louis (born January 1, 2014) is an American football kicker for the Philadelphia Liberty of the National Simulation Football League (NSFL). He played college football for Washington before being drafted by the Philadelphia Liberty in the 2036 ISFL Draft (S21). Prior to this, he had been drafted by the Kansas City Coyotes in the 2035 DSFL Draft (S20).

Early years

Lefty was born in the southwest of Ontario on a night where a rare win came for the Detroit Lions. It was the Lions first win in over a year so Lefty's dad Mike knew he was a good luck charm and that Lefty would go on to be a star football player. Early on playing was tough as there wasn't much for youth football in Canada. Mike would drive Lefty up to Toronto twice a week to play. Lefty dominated the peewee leagues he was in. When Lefty turned 12, Mike & Cassie (Lefty's mom) knew that their son had a special talent but wanted to challenge him even more. So they moved across the border to a Detroit neighborhood called River Rouge which sported one of the top HS football programs in the nation. Lefty struggled for his freshman football team at River Rouge so much so that he actually switched from being a running back to a kicker. Lefty grew up playing soccer as well due to Ontario being more soccer focused than football. Lefty used his soccer skills coupled with his football strength to become a dominant kicker. He set a Michigan HS record for longest FG as well as won River Rouge the state championship with a game winning field goal in both his Junior & Senior seasons.

College career

As a freshman Louis knew he was not going to get playing time as Washington had a star senior kicker. Due to this Louis actually trained half of his time with the football team and the other half of his time with the soccer team in the gym. Lefty redshirted the season. At the start of his redshirt-freshman year Lefty knew it was his time and Washington was back on the way up. The Huskies were predicted to win the conference title so the pressure was on. Louis was battle tested due to his time at River Rouge in Michigan. Louis strived throughout the season hitting 23 of his 24 attempted field goals on the year with a perfect PAT record. However, the Huskies fell short in the conference finals against an upstart UCLA program. Louis' redshirt-sophomore year was more of the same. He was dominant kicking and the Huskies were a top team. An early loss to Playoff contenders Florida put the Huskies on the back foot. The Huskies were on the outside of playoffs after losing to UCLA in conference play as well. This time the Huskies did win the conference title though as a chip shot field goal from Louis in overtime saw Washington to their revenge of UCLA, giving them their only loss on the season. The committee saw Washington as the 5th best team and thus did not make the playoffs. Louis' draft stock was high after this season and in a shocking move he decided to leave college early, a move you don't see many kickers make.
