Armor King (born January 2, 1998) is an American football tight end who is currently playing for the Colorado Yeti.

Early years

Armor King's birthplace is unknown, but he is credited with getting his start in Atlanta, Georgia. He rose to prominence with his fighting prowess in order to train for the King of Iron Fists Tournament and to try to become a champion in the tournament. He immediately made his name known in the tournament with his wrestling style that was passed on to his protege, King, and both used this style in order to become a powerful wrestling duo. With many years early years of wrestling duo championships, the University of Michigan noticed this wrestling champion and recruited Armor King for a short time.

This created a riff between the King of Iron Fists Tournament, King, and Armor King. Ultimately causing a rivalry to form while Armor King stepped away from the tournament and from wrestling. With his time in college, Armor King managed to discover a new talent that used his extreme athleticism in football. This was the time that Armor King found another sport in order to dominate in and to become the next champion in.

College career

His talents were recognized by the man himself, Jim Harbaugh, and Armor King was able to immediately impress Michigan from the first time he set foot on campus. King's massive size gave him many opportunities to be seen as well as the impressive high school numbers he had setup. He was redshirted his first year, but due to an injury had to shed the redshirt to take the starting job. From his first catch, King set himself up very nicely. Stephen A. Smith was quoted saying this about King first game, "That boy in the jaguar mask could play basketball with ball skills like that!" The rest of his freshman year was just as exciting as the beginning. Armor King recorded one of the many touchdowns in the 2016 Orange Bowl classic against FSU, and was devastated at the sour ending to his freshman season. The next two seasons for Armor King were proof of his reliability even in hard losses against rivals. He advanced slightly as a blocking help during his sophomore season after gaining a few pounds, but was persuaded against the idea by coaches to stay more as a weapon in the passing game. King left Michigan early to join the NSFL, coming into the season a bit late so his chances are left to the DSFL where he hopes to bring his talents to the pro level.

Kansas City Coyotes

Armor King was selected ninth overall in the DSFL draft by the Kansas City Coyotes to fill the spot after the departure of former tight end, Cameron Olson. King became a clutch tight end for Kansas City in his first year as a reliable target for third downs and being able to provide extra downs. Both King and the Coyotes surprised many by making it to the DSFL North Championship before falling to the Portland Pythons. The rookie tight end changed his number for this game from eighty-eight to forty-four for the Braves legend, Hank Aaron so that King could represent his Atlanta roots no matter where he went.

Colorado Yeti

After being selected again with a late first-round pick, Armor King found his way onto a team known for having a less than spectacular history, the Colorado Yeti. The Yeti managed to only snag a single win within King's rookie season against the Austin Copperheads in week eleven. This was a similar year statistically for King, but definitely a more challenging one. Not really being given a high receiving role has King's stats once again held lower than some other standout tight ends in the league. King did not have any real standout games under his rookie season with the Yeti and has not been able to provide a lot of upside to being a desirable receiving target over his fellow teammates.

In 2032, Armor King continued to prove his usefulness in being a check down target to young QB, Wolfie McDummy. His large size allowed him to get open in the middle of the field for short receptions. It wasn't much of a different season for the Yeti though and things did not exactly go as planned. There was a true question if King would continue his time with the Yeti from within. The Colorado Mountain News Network quoted Armor King during the season as saying, "Things just aren't clicking for myself and I'm not making the impact I want to." Thankfully the season started to turn around for the Yeti as they made it into the playoffs at the #4 spot.

The third season of King's career saw him immediately start showing his talents rising to the top. The first game of the season showed a turning point for not only King, but also the Colorado Yeti with Armor King catching the game winning touchdown against the Philadelphia Liberty, his first. That game took the Yeti through toward a spot in the playoffs where Armor King managed to change from a bottom tier tight end in the league and into the upper level of the position. King's stats may have given him a Tight End of the Year award in the season in only a short amount of time in the league.

After a promising offseason with Armor King finding himself in a new gear, things were looking up for him coming into 2034 when he decided to put everything into the pursuit of a trophy. Unfortunately the wheels fell off the wagon fairly early for King, leaving him mostly behind the upper echelon he had graced for a season in 2033. Things weren't exactly up to par for him so he was on the way to getting out of the season with hopeful highs somewhere. Reports came out of Colorado saying that Armor King was seen discussing with coaches and fans about the uncertainty of his future with the Yeti and with his football future as well. One fan interviewed by the Colorado Chronicle that was close to Armor King discussed more about Mr. King's decision saying that it really depended on how he did for his team and if he could have a standout performance. Things did not go as planned in that regard, and Armor King decided to call it quits, retiring from the league in the next season after his lowest receiving yard total since entering the league.
