Josh Parker (born March 14th, 2006) is a Canadian football Wide Receiver and is currently unsigned by a professional team but will be entered into the 2025 DSFL Draft (S10). He played college football for University of Alberta (U of A) before entering the professional ranks.

Early years

Josh Parker grew up in Edmonton, Alberta in a family full of sports, his mom loved baseball and his brother and dad played hockey. Every weekend they were either on the field or rink. At a very young age, Parker fell in love with football. His dream was to make the high school football team and hopefully, one day get a scholarship to any university he could. Parker went to tryouts at his new high school and he made the cut. His family was really excited for him as he ended up making one of the top teams in Edmonton at his school Harry Ainlay.

He played a very minor role in his first season with the Wild Cats, however, his season came to an end too shortly, as he suffered an injury to his left ankle significant enough to be sidelined for the whole season. Parker lost his love for the game and took the rest of his high school career off of football to focus on his studies.

College career

Flash forward to graduation where Parker was accepted to the University of Alberta where he knew he would want to try out for the Alberta Golden Bears team, but he was not sure if he would make the team as he had taken two and a half seasons off. After one practice he completely fell in love with the sport all over again, and it didn't take long for him realize his passion was still football. Parker wasn't expecting to make the University of Alberta team but he was excited when he got the call. After being one of the top wide receivers in Alberta after four full seasons with them he knew he had what it took to play professionally, after many meetings with scouts he is declaring for the DSFL draft.

Ever since Josh was a kid he was always good with numbers, it carried into elementary, junior high and high school where Math and Calculus came very easy for him. When he entered university, he studied business with a major in accounting. He did very well in this program finishing his degree with distinction and receiving multiple awards.

One of Parker's greatest accomplishments is taking home the championship in his final year with the Golden Bears, and being named one of the top players on the team. While they were celebrating their coach invited some special players and this is where Parker finally got to meet one of his favorite players, Antonio Brown. After meeting one of his idols and getting to talk to him about playing professionally and the route and determination it takes to get there, it pushed Parker, even more, to get to where he wants to be. He excelled at his position early on and was excited to enter the DSFL in 2025 (S10), with a view to moving up to the NSFL in 2026 (S11).
