Jonathan "Shuff" Shuffleboard (born February 8, 1999) was an American football safety for the Tijuana Luchadores of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Shuffleboard, Jonathan took to football at a very young age. While his parent's preferred he play shuffleboard his ability to cut in from centerfield and get interceptions was his calling card throughout high school. Playing for the football powerhouse Iona Prep in New Rochelle, he took over as the starting safety as a sophomore. From then he played every single game until he graduated as a senior, also as his class's salutatorian. His stats were impressive, he averaged about 2 tackles a game, with .5 a pick and .25 sacks per game. He was used mostly as a free safety, but his strong tackling saw him play in the box. He was a five star recruit, and considered going to a football powerhouse, but elected to stay closer to home and play for the Syracuse Orange. As a kid he was always a fan of the Orange, and he said it was a dream come true to don the Orange's navy uniform.

College career

A superstar from his first day in Syracuse, Shuffleboard started as a true freshman and had 4 impressive seasons for the Orange. Sadly for him, in his final game he suffered a ACL tear and he went undrafted in the DSFL draft. Throught college Shuffleboard was a force to be reckoned with. Over the four seasons he played 36 regular season games, he had 144 tackles, despite being a free safety and usually playing deeper down the field, so impressive where his run stopping instects. He had 20 interceptions, the most in the nation over the time span. His 36 pass defended over his college career show his centerfield ability was not just playing robber for interceptions. He was toted as the most complete player in the nation prior to his senior year. As mentioned, his ACL tear at his senior night scared off DSFL teams, and he was not drafted in prior to the S25 in the DSFL Draft.
