Johnny X Slothface (born July 10, 1998) is an American football linebacker for the Tijuana Luchadores of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL). He played college football for University of San Diego (USD) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Johnny Slothface was born in Los Angeles, California in 1998. He is the younger brother of Jimmy Slothface, a standout player in the Simulation Hockey League. Growing up, Johnny played hockey just like Jimmy. But Johnny's size soon caught the eyes of the football coaches at Hart High School, and soon Johnny was suiting up as a linebacker for his school's team. After solid showings in the CIF playings his sophomore and junior years, Slothface received minimal Division 1 scholarship interest. Following much debate, Johnny Slothface decided to enroll at the University of San Diego via an academic scholarship and walked onto their football team where he went on to start all four years. Due to injury, Slothface's entrance into the DSFL draft was delayed, but he managed to sign with the Tijuana Luchadores as a free agent once he cleared waivers late in season 13.

College career

As a true freshman in 2016 Slothface started and made a strong initial impact with sixty six total tackles and and two interceptions. He would not let go of his starting spot for all four years at school. Known for doing it all during his time at San Diego, Johnny Slothface finished his career with 251 tackles, 31 sacks, three interceptions, six forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, and a blocked kick. Slothface was named to the All PFL team three times in his college career, in addition to receiving PFL player of the week twice. Strong, athletic linebacker who started to pull the pieces together his senior season. Physical, aggressive, and attacks ball carriers. Collapses from the outside to defend the run, strong at the point, and defeats blocks to get to the action. Chases the play hard, and displays a good burst of closing speed. Plays with balance, rarely off his feet, and nicely redirects to ball carriers. Improved his reads, instincts, and ability in coverage last season.
