John "Ironman" Riggins (born January 4, 2026) is an American football runningback who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for University of New Hampshire (UNH) before going undrafted in the 2047 ISFL Draft (S32).

Early years

John Riggins was born in Boston MA and attended Boston Bean High. While there, he was a three-sport athlete, earning high school All-American recognition in football, all-state honors in basketball and twice winning the Class B 100-yard dash state title. Because of his efforts, Riggins' high school is now located on "John Riggins Avenue", which runs through a main part of Centralia. His High School football efforts were also rewarded with an influx of funding to the football program, and allowed the players to purchase actual helmets instead of using bike helmets.

On October 12, 2046, John with his brothers Frank (Junior) and Bill Riggins were on hand to dedicate the Boston Bean High's football field renaming it Riggins Field in honoring their parents, Franklin Eugene and Mildred Riggins, who mysteriously disappeared after sending ISFL moderators a hateful message. Boston Bean High dedicated a plaque and ISFL Films was there to film the event. The Riggins brothers took center field for the opening coin toss and the Boston Beans High Beanies went on to beat the Troy (Kansas) High School Trojans with a final score of 55–0.

College career

Riggins attended the University of New Hampshire and played for the Wildcats, where he was an All-American and two-time All-Big Eight Conference first-team selection. Riggins led the Wildcats to a Big Eight Conference championship win in 2046. The team then went to the 2047 Orange Bowl, which they lost to Penn State, 15–14.

During his senior season in 2047, Riggins rushed for 1,131 yards and scored a then school-record 14 touchdowns. He finished his career with 2,659 rushing yards, which broke Gale Sayers's career rushing record for the school. Riggins is now ranked fifth for UNH's all-time rushing leaders and 14th for total yards.

While at Kansas, Riggins majored in Gender Studies and Underwater Basketweaving. He completed a breif stint of Airforce ROTC but was persuaded to quit after failing his Class 1 physcial and Calculus. In a 2046 interview for his high school, the Boston Beans, he claimed ""Damn... math is hard. I just wanted to fly F-16s".
