Jaylon Lee (born May 15, 1996) is a retired American football linebacker who played for the Arizona Outlaws, the San Jose Sabercats and the Philadelphia Liberty of the National Simulation Football League (NSFL). He played college football for the University of Texas before being drafted by the Arizona Outlaws with the 42nd overall pick in the 2016 ISFL Draft (S1). Lee is one of the most celebrated linebackers in NSFL history and was an important part in Arizona's record breaking Ultimus Bowl threepeat from 2016 to 2018, as well as Philadelphia's first Ultimus Bowl victory in 2022 (S7). He is a five time Pro Bowler and a member of the NSFL Hall of Fame.

Professional Career

Arizona Outlaws

Jaylon Lee was selected with the 42nd overall pick by the Arizona Outlaws in the inaugural NSFL draft . Lee was straight away the top linebacker on the Outlaws roster, and started the season well, with the 3rd most tackles in the 2016 ISFL season (121 tackles). Arizona would go on to top the ASFC at 9-5 and made it all the way to Ultimus Bowl I where they defeated the Colorado Yeti by a score of 29-6 to become the first Ultimus Bowl champions.

Lee and Arizona would continue to dominate in the 2017 season. Lee had the most tackles in the 2017 season (139 tackles) which was a career-high and is still (as of 2034 (S19)) the record at Arizona for most tackles in a season. Lee was also selected for his very first NSFL Pro Bowl. Arizona dominated the ASFC at 12-2 and then proceed to win Ultimus Bowl II, defeating the Baltimore Hawks this time round by a convincing score of 33-6.

Lee's third season in the league saw him play a slightly different role in the team, but Arizona would go on to dominate it yet again. Lee had a lower 88 tackles, but did have 11 sacks and 11 pass deflections. Arizona once again dominated the ASFC at a record 13-1 and then proceed to win Ultimus Bowl III, defeating the Baltimore Hawks for the second season in a row, this time by a score of 49-12.

San Jose Sabercats

Lee's move to San Jose was one of the most controversial in NSFL history. After a lengthy free agency at the end of the 2018 ISFL season, Lee signed a one year, $10m contract. When the contract was signed, the Arizona Outlaws were given 48 hours to match the offer. After a day of shopping Jaylon Lee to every NSFL team, they finally found a buyer. Once they had a buyer, they matched the contract offer and immediately shipped Lee to the San Jose Sabercats in exchange for a second round selection in the 2020 ISFL Draft (S5). This was done without consultation or any agreement with Lee himself.

After the controversy of the off season Lee went on in 2019 (S4) to continue to play very well with 106 tackles, a career high 9 tackles for loss, 12 sacks and 14 pass deflections and his third Pro Bowl appearance. San Jose ended the season with a record of 9-5 – at the time, their best record – however, they missed out on a playoff spot due to point differential.

Philadelphia Liberty

Lee finally got his move to Philadelphia before the start of the 2020 ISFL season, where he signed a two year, $10m contract much to his delight. In 2020, Lee continued to put up a good season with 104 tackles, 13 sacks and 13 pass deflections. Philadelphia had a winning record in 2020, going 8-6 but missed out on playoffs on point differential of a single point to Baltimore.

2021 (S6) was a good year for both Philadelphia and for Lee himself. Lee had a career-high sack tally of 14 gaining his third Pro Bowl appearance in three seasons. The Liberty topped the NSFC with a record of 9-5, and they would go on to win the 2021 NSFC Championship (S6) over Yellowknife 31-21, but lost Ultimus Bowl VI to Orange County, 17-23.

2022 (S7) was the best one in Philadelphia's history and Lee continued to play a big part of it. Lee had 98 tackles, 13 sacks and 11 pass deflections but narrowly missed out the Pro Bowl for the first time in three year. Philadelphia went 10-4 which only gave them second in the NSFC after Yellowknife dominated at 13-1. Philadelphia proceeded to defeat the much fancied Yellowknife side 40-31 and then lifted the Ultimus with a 28-19 victory over Orange County in Ultimus Bowl VII, stopping the Otters getting their fourth Ultimus in a row.

2023 (S8) was a year to forget for both Lee and Philadelphia. Lee had his lowest ever sack total of just 3 and his lowest number of pass deflections which was 3 again, however he did manage to scrape into his fifth and final Pro Bowl. Philadelphia went 7-7 although they did only miss out on the playoffs by points differential.

2024 (S9) saw Philadelphia drop further down but Lee remained productive as ever. Lee set a career high pass deflection of 17 with his previous best being only 14 in 2019. Philadelphia finished rooted to the bottom of the NSFC with a record of 4-10.

2025 (S10) was Lee's last season in the NSFL, where he continued to put in his now stereotypical excellent work. Philadelphia had their worst ever season failing to win a match, and going 0-14.

After a ten season career, Lee retired a four-time Ultimus Champion, five-time Pro Bowler and at the time of his retirement held the record for most ever tackles with 1,042. In 2029, Jaylon became the fifteenth player and fourth linebacker to be voted into the NSFL Hall of Fame.
