James Cho (born December 6, 2016) is an American football defensive end for the Undrafted of the National Simulation Football League (NSFL).

Early years

James Cho was born in Seattle, Washington to Hae and Sung Cho.His parents immigrated to the Washington in 2005 to puruse the American dream and escape the hardship of their homeland. Like many stereotypical asian parents Cho was forced to take the academic route and did not touch a ball until middle school. The first sport he particpated in was basketball and eventually after much convincing of his parents, football. During this time he began to study football like it was school which helped develop his football IQ. Cho attended Kentridge Highschool in Kent, Washington where he was a four-year starter and a multi-year first team all-state player. Cho also particpated in basketball, and track during the off season. Cho graduated with 4 letters in football and 2 in basketball. He was a five-star recruit and was ranked among the best players in his class. He committed to University of Washington to play college football.

College career

"Cho played in all 13 games as a true freshman at University of Washington in 2032, recording 28 tackles, 8 of which were for a loss, and 6 sacks. In his sophomore year, he became the starting defensive end for the Huskies in three games. Cho was named a unanimous Pac twelve Defensive lineman of the year for his 31 total tackles (13 for a loss) and a team leading 8 sacks.Additionally, he had 3 pass breackups, and 7 quarterback hurries. Cho uses forward lean, smart hands and impressive upper-body power to pry open edges against the run and pass. His lack of fluidity in space could prevent him from becoming an elite rusher, but he understands how to play and should become an early starter and future Pro Bowler."""

DSFL Career

James Cho was selected 49th overall by the Dallas Birddogs. After scouting the Birddogs liked what they saw and took a risk picking Cho in the top 50 overall picks. This pick would pay off as currently out all rookie defensive ends Cho currently ranks 2nd behind Egghands. Cho started in all 14 games of the DSFL season and record 36 total tackles 17 which were tackle for loss, 2 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery. Cho accredits his alma matter the university of Washington to prepare him for the DSFL which in turn will help him succeed in the NSFL. It is rumored that Cho will be picked in the 2nd round but that is all speculation. Cho’s locker room presence is felt here and there. Not much of a talker but will definitely input something here and there. You will mostly see Cho in the pokecord sniping Pokémon left and right. When Cho was asked what he did during the off season he responded with “I’ m always on the grind no matter what I do. Be it training, watching film, hitting the weights, I always do it 110% because 100 is never good enough. I need to do everything I can do to increase my draft stock for the NSFL because I want to make as big of an impact as I can. Mark my words I’ll be holding a ultimus trophy someday.” Cho hopes to one day make it into the NSFL hall of fame but for now wants to make a impact and become a pro-bowler.

NSFL Career

During the 22nd season of the NSFL James Cho was selected 35th overall by the Yellowknife Wraiths. Many people were surprised that he dropped so far but in a class full of elite athletes including Cho, nobody could predict the draft. Many had Cho slated as a first round pick, as he was one of the top Defensive End candidates between Troen Egghands, and Sandro Ryeu. We asked Cho how he felt when he was selected and he said” Honestly I truly thought I was going to be picked in the first round and being one of the high skilled defensive ends out there I was shocked and angry that two others were picked ahead of me. I will always remember the fact that the Austin Copperheads and Arizona Outlaws passed on me and picked other defensive ends. This was my chip on the shoulder, I didn’t care that I didn’t get picked later but the fact that I wasn’t the first defensive end off the board is crazy. I’m going to show them that they messed up passing on me on the field.” And on the field did he prove it. James Cho started his rookie NSFL debut with the Yellowknife Wraiths and recorded 35 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble, and 6 sacks. There is a good chance that Cho could win rookie defensive linemen of the year with his outstanding rookie performance. Cho led the league in rookie tackles, and sacks. James Cho’s performance has been extraordinary and made a huge impact to help the Wraiths to a 12 win 1 loss season.

What can be said of the 23rd season of James Cho’s career? It can be all be embodied in one word, the Ultimus. Despite it only being Cho’s second season in the ISFL he was crowned champion along with the rest of the Yellowknife wraith teammates. With a huge upsetting loss during the conference championship last year by the Colorado Yeti the Wraiths finally destroy the five year Ultimus drought. When James Cho was asked how he felt after hosting the trophy with his team he said “Man, this is what it’s all about. All the time put into training, film, and the sweat and tears was the culmination of what we all worked so hard for. Coach reminded us of last year and the pain we felt when the Yeti beat us. Then he reminded the older folks that have been around for a couple more years the pain that it was getting to the Ultimus every time and yet to be shut out of the trophy. All that loss man just piles up and you use that as fuel and well look at us, we’re freaking champions. I’ m so proud of myself and my teammates we could have never done this alone and F@*! I’ am going to Disney World!” Cho ended the 23rd season of the ISFL with 16 games played, 39 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 1 blocked punt. The Yellowknife defense was solid and Cho attributes his contribution to the team surely helped get the Wraiths to the Utlimus. Cho now with a few years under his belt hopes to someday lead the defensive ends in tackles and sacks.

Season 24 of Cho’s career was on par average. Cho played all 16 games and recorded 44 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, caused 1 force fumble, and got the quarterback 6 times for the sack. Still Cho still thinks he could have improved and done even better this season. With that hope Cho prepares into the next off-season to prepare for the next season to hopefully meet his expectations he set for himself. The Yellowknife wraiths this year unfortunately did not make the playoffs but Cho is not upset. He realizes that with a new quarterback there would be some transitioning and building for the team to prepare for the next chapter. Understanding that there will be some time for Jack to get used to the ISFL he knows that the defense will undoubtedly have to stand up until Jack acclimates and becomes a future star quarterback. So to help his team Cho continues to train his endurance to the maximum of his capacity. The future of the Yellowknife team continues to be the defense at heart and so Cho wants to do everything he can to contribute to that since this team took a chance on him and drafted him. Even after drafting him Cho agreed to a 4 year deal with the Yellowknife wraiths after his final season of his rookie contract. This deal will keep Cho locked in and continue to rise to his stardom as an elite Defensive end. Keep a lookout for Cho to break out in his next season of the ISFL.
