Ian Cole III (born November 27, 2025) is an American football kicker for the Portland Pythons of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Ian Cole III was born on November 27, 2025 in Provo, Utah. As a kid, Ian Cole III got into football very quickly not just to watch but to play as a sport aswell. When he first started playing football, he lined up as a cornerback even though his favorite position at the time was Quarterback. That was his position for the next 10 years until when he was playing high school football for the first time and they were having a punting and kicking competition. Since their high school team was struggling real bad and with no real kicker or punter, Cole went on to try to punt and kick. He has kicked a football many times before but never did it often. When he kicked for the first time in high school, he sent the football booming to the endzone, leaving everyone including the coaches shocked. With no question, his coach instantly named him not only the kicker for the team, but the punter as well. This was great for him because he didn't really get that much playing time as a cornerback and now he can help the team out with his kicks! He was named kicker and punter for the remaining of his high school years but it was in his senior year where Cole III actually went off on his kicks, almost making every field goal he got sent out for. What really got the college scouts coming in was when he made a 61 yarder in high school football to win the game for his team. He had discovered a skill he didn't even know existed for himself.

College career

Ian Cole III would get a suprise full ride scholarship to the University of Utah, which was Cole's favorite university mostly because he lived close to it. With all the other scholarships he received, he chose Utah to be where he would get his college football start. Utah had horrible special teams last year that costed them many games to win and would come out the season with a losing record. As Cole was one of the best kicker prospects in the country, Utah knew they got a great pick. In his freshman year, he struggled a little bit, but at the end of the day had a good first season with being 82% on field goals and 99.2 on XPs. Although Cole wasn't punting like he did in high school, he still loved kicking and maybe even thought it was better than punting anyways. In his sophomore season he struggled more than last year, but still got his kicks in. In junior and senior years were for sure the best as he would end up as a top 3 kicker in college football in field goal percentage and would be a finalist for the Ray Guy award in both of his junior and senior years. He would finish the season with a 97.7 percentage in field goals and a 97.9 in XPs including 4 game winning field goals. Utah was a great place for him, and will be missed sincerely. However, now it is time for Cole to work in the pros, but deciding which league to commit to was going to be a problem.
