Harley Fank (born September 5, 2018) was an American football wide receiver for the New York Silverbacks. He played college football for University of Washington (UW) and played on the Norfolk Seawolves during his time in the DSFL.

Early years

Harley Fank grew up in a small suburb outside Seattle, and took an instant passion for various physical activities, most stemming from his fast and quick nature. Though since middle school Fank found a specific interest in Track and Field, being the speed demon he is, Fank found himself becoming e one of the fastest athletes in his district in middle school. And once highschool began, Fank couldn't wait until the Track season began. Though it wasn't until his sophomore year in which his coach convinced him to test out Football in his following year. And Fank instantly strived at wide receiver, speeding past corners nearly every game. Fank now had a newfound love for football and once he reached his Senior year, Fank had multiple offers across the country in both Track and Football, though ultimately, Fank choose a path in football and decided to stay in-state. Choosing an scholarship to play at the University of Washington.

College career

Fank did not expect to start as early as he did in his college career, after multiple other teammates were injured early in the season, Fank saw himself starting just three games after his Freshman year began. And while it wasn't filled with many catches, only 28 in total Fank put scouts of notice after a 77 yard touchdown in the final game of the his teams 5-7 season to capitalize a 48-40 victory. His sophomore season though was one for the record books, after the teams disappointing performance in the previous year, the team made a coaching change and it did sure matter. Fank ended up producing 71 catches for 1357 yards, and 9 touchdowns. This brilliance wasn't entirely replicated in his Junior year, racking up 67 catches for 1245 yards, and 8 touchdowns. But it meant nevertheless that Fank would be moving up to the DSFL after the conclusion of his Junior year.

DSFL career

S23

After announcing his future plans to forgo his senior year in college and head straight into the DSFL, Fank was immediately dropped into the DSFL waiver wire and very quickly picked up by the Norfolk Seawolves. The Seawolves though were presently heading through an absolute tear of a season, leading the league in both record and point differential through the 12 previous games. And the trend would continue as Fank made a small but promising impact in his first game as a DSFL pro, catching 1 ball on three attempts for an 11 yard gain. In his next game though, he made better work of this attempts, bringing down 3 of the 4 attempts for 26 total yards. The Seawolves now, leading the entire league with a record of 10-4, headed comfortably into the playoffs with the top seed in their conference. They then found themselves up against the Dallas Birddogs who proved to be much tougher opponent then many probably would've expected as they very nearly upset the Seawolves with a final score of 19-17. Fank though was also again very quiet in the game catching 2 of the 3 attempts for a total of 17 yards. With this victory sealed it was now time for the Seawolves to face off in the Ultimini against the Kansas City Coyotes who finished the season with the very top defense in the league. Though it seemed the top defense in the league had been "solved" as the Seawolves put up 26 points on the board, and with the Coyotes offense continuously sputtering out, it all accumulated to a 26-6 blowout. And while Fank put up the fewest yards out of any of his previous games, only putting up 6 yards out of the two balls thrown towards him, he managed to catch his very first touchdown pass as a pro DSFL player.

S24

Harley Fank began his true rookie campaign in the DSFL as the 2nd Wide Receiver in the Seawolves lineup. Behind Dre Matthews, who was set to repeat his breakout season in the previous year. At Quarterback, he was still under reigning MVP Suleiman Ramza so it was safe to say Fank was set for a pretty nice season. And through the first 5 games in definitely appeared so. The Seawolves were currently undefeated and Fank was alternating between big games such as in week 1, 3, and 5 where he put up a combined 112 yards on 12 receptions and 1 TD, and absolute goose eggs like in weeks 2 and 4 where he caught a combined 1 catch for 10 yards. Though in the next 4 weeks the Seawolves went on a 4 game losing streak. Though in this stretch of games Fank would put the two best games in his career, catching 6 balls for 68 yards in both. Thoughout the rest of the regular season Fank's volatility persist and match somewhat with the Seawolves. Regardless, the Seawolves would still finishing the season 8-6, enough to earn a playoff spot, and the 2nd in the conference. The first matchup the Seawolves would face in the playoffs would be against the top team in the league, the 10-4 Tijuana Luchadores. And even despite the Luchadores clobbering the Seawolves in the regular season twice, the Seawolves prevailed over the Luchadores 20-17, thanks in part to some strong offensive play and some key defensive work. Harley Fank certainly played an effort in the win, catching three balls for 33 yards including a key 19 yard catch-and-run to set up an easy 35 yard FG by Murder-Moose. In the Ultimini though, the Seawolves would be up against the 8-6 London Royals, who would prove to be much stronger than their record suggested. Entering the fourth quarter, the Seawolves were leading 17-14 and that lead would hold until the Royals began driving down the field with confidence. With 6 minutes left on the clock the Royals were on 2nd down on the 2 yard line, miraculously the Seawolves were able to hold until 4th down, where the Royals coach, probably afraid of the scrutiny he would face if they turned the ball over on downs, reluctantly put the field goal unit the field. After the converted FG, the Royals coach would find himself rewarded for his cowardly decision as Ramza would end up coughing up the ball in his own redzone on a QB draw. It was only then too easy for the Royals to pick up 7 points in the following couple of plays, and that would mark the final score of the game 17-24. At first, Fank felt an overwhelming amount of frustration, he felt he obviously made less of an impact in the game as he wished, catching only 2 of his 5 targets for 10 yards. Though his anger wouldn't persist past the tremendous heartbreak he seriously felt.
