Goat Tannk (born April 4, 2032) is an American football defensive end for the Berlin Fire Salamanders of the National Simulation Football League (ISFL).

Early years

There was a popular player who was a running back in the ISFL that had played by the name of Goat Tank. Goat Tannk is actually no relation to Goat Tank himself, but is in fact actually Goat Tank. So how did this happen? Well, Goat Tank is from a parallel universe on another earth and he was playing football there. However, an accident happened and he was transported to this earth. He learned quickly that things were now different but he had just seen himself retire on TV as a running back. Weird, Goat Tank thought. He was a defensive player and would never think about being a running back. He quickly tried out for some college teams and decided to go in as the name Goat Tannk. That is when he knew he might end up making it big, after all, he already knew the Goat Tank of this universe did, so why wouldn't he be able to as Goat Tannk?

College career

So Goat Tannk went to Iowa University and became a bit of a star though. It was weird though because we had never really seen anyone else really named Goat Tannk before and also there are only 3 Goat Tank's really known. Goat Tank Sr who is Goat Tank's father and also Goat Tank Jr. who is Goat Tank's son even though they kind of played at the same time. But now here is Goat Tannk, also playing at Iowa much like Goat Tank was and here he was just destroying the defensive line - just like Goat Tank was. See, this is what Goat Tannk didn't know, that Goat Tank was a defensive tackle in college and in his early professional career and eventually switched to running back. Goat Tannk thought he was being different but I guess in the end he really wasn't. Anyway, Goat Tannk was one of the best college players and knew he would go professional soon.

2052 The DSFL Year

Goat Tannk didn't go into the draft. He felt he was way too good for that and didn't want to go through the pomp and circumstance that was involved in such a thing. As weird thing would have it, Goat Tannk would enter waivers and get picked up by the same team that had been the home to Goat Tank - the Bondi Beach Buccaneers. It was weird though since he went in as a linebacker instead of a defensive lineman, but what a difference Goat Tannk would make. He missed the first game of the season but immediately became an impact on the team with 89 tackles and 7 sacks through the season. He also forced 3 fumbles and recovered 2 of them. Goat Tannk wouldn't stay in the DSFL for very long but he did make an impact and helped them win the championship that season. At the end of the season he was entered into the ISFL draft and was drafted by Berlin in the 1st round with their 6th overall pick. Another team that Goat Tank had played for. But Goat Tannk did at least beat his predecessor in the position of the first round he got drafted.

2053 The ISFL Rookie Year

Goat Tannk was immediately called up to the Berlin Fire Salamanders, one of the same teams that Goat Tank had previously played at. Goat Tannk assumed he might be their new running back on the team, but later found out he was best suited at Defensive End and being back on the Defensive Line. It seems Goat Tank and Goat Tann were going to have a couple mirrored careers of each other where one started on the defensive line and went running back and the other was a turned running back into defensive line. However, Goat Tannk's rookie year did not really go as planned. He was virtually invisible on the team only getting 7 tackles the entire season and getting 2 total sacks. On the flip side, Berlin did end up in the Ultimus and nearly came away with a championship. Goat Tannk is hoping to improve in his sophomore season and help lead this team to a championship.

2054 The ISFL Sophomore Year

Goat Tannk had a slightly better season than his rookie year, but the Berlin Salamanders were pretty disappointing that year going a meager 4-12 in the season and being the 2nd worst team in the ISFL. Goat Tannk did have a slightly better season individually but was still nothing to write home about as he came up with 7 more tackles than his previous season, 1 more tackle for loss, and 1 more sack. He did have a forced fumble and a fumble recovery as well. But taken into consideration that is a whole 14 tackles in the season, 2 tackles for losses and 3 total sacks - yes, it was quite a lackluster season. Goat Tannk still is young considering he started in the league early and recent experience and growing with a young team it is possible he is able to have a break out season in his 3rd season in the league. If not, it is possible that Goat Tannk could be thinking retirement as this league may not be for him.

2055

Goat Tannk was finally able to start upping his production by recording the most tackles and the most sacks in his career. He had 6 more tackles than the previous year and 1 more tackle for loss, while tripling his sack total from 3 to 9 from the previous year to this year. The Fire Salamanders did improve slightly from a 4-12 season before to 5-10-1 but still in the bottom of the division basically. Goat Tannk is hoping that the next season will end up seeing better results as the former young Salamanders are now starting to hit their prime and could be starting to make a stand for competing in the league. Goat Tannk knows that he can improve on the season next season and hopes he can triple his current sack career high total - however unlikely that will end up being. While 2055 was a year forward, 2056 and beyond should be when Goat Tannk truly shines.

2058

Goat Tannk is starting to reach the peak of his career and has proven to be a successful veteran Defensive End for the team. He doesn't put up spectacular numbers or even is in the conversation for awards, but when you need production he is there. In 2058, he did record his career high in tackles with 22 and he also had the first safety of his career leading to his first points of his professional career. On the flip side of that though he did have the most missed tackles in his career with 3 and might be showing his age a little bit and slowing down. He is approaching the career 50 sack mark and could potentially get there this next season if he can get 11 sacks, but considering he sits around 8 or 9 per season that is going to be a tall order. He does continue to create fumbles though as he adds another forced fumble to the books this past season.

2060

Goat Tannk has finally broken out and had the best production he has ever seen in his career. While normally averaging around 20 tackles per year, he had an outstanding over 100+ tackles in one season including 5 that were for losses. He also eclipsed his best sack season of 10 by getting 12 of them and also adding on a safety as well. He also had the most fumble recoveries in his career with 2 - but only managed to force 1. He very nearly doubled his amount of career tackles in 1 season though with 103 and his career total now being 228. He has also passed the 50 mark in career sacks and sits at 57. Goat Tannk also eclipsed a game record for him this season in week 12 by getting 10 sacks in 1 game against the Colorado Yeti. As of this writing it is unclear if Goat Tannk will win any awards this season.

2061

Goat Tannk didn't have quite the year that he had the season before. Some of that might have had to do with getting traded from the Berlin Fire Salamanders to the Chicago Butchers and having the unfamiliarity of working with a new team, but it was also just a slight downturn. He did not have nearly as many tackles as before with only 31, but that is still higher than all his other seasons. He had 11 sacks on the season which is 1 less than his career high. However, the most interesting stat that Goat Tannk accomplished was his 2 sacks on the season, doubling his career total. This also happens to put him tied for 3rd all time in career sacks just 1 behind the ISFL career record. Goat Tannk is closing in some history if he can accomplish this rare feat. This season also helped propel Goat Tannk into the top 100 sack leaders of all time sitting at #94.
