Giovanni "Gio" Bianchi (born September 26, 2021) is an American football runningback for the Portland Pythons of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Giovanni "Gio" Bianchi was born in Rome, Italy, to Gianluigi and Maria Bianchi. The family was extremely poor and, after spending all of their lives in Italy, decided to save up all of their money, pack their bags, and buy a plane ticket to America. The family ended up in a tight-knit Italian town known as The Hill, in St. Louis, Missouri. It was here when Gio began to realize his love for gridiron football. Before this, he had been a huge fan of soccer, but then realized that he loved the game of American football much more than international football. Gio came to America at the age of 10, and did not speak a single word of English, but by the age of 13, he spoke relatively fluently. In high school, Gio was a standout wide reciever, leading his school in career receiving yards. He had raw talent, and was accepted to an athletic scholarship at the University of Missouri in 2039.

College career

The University of Missouri had a hole to fill at Wide Reciever, and Bianchi was there to fill said role. He was immediatly thrust into the spotlight and started every game of that season with Missouri. Bianchi's season was relatively run of the mill, putting up 898 receiving yards, with an average of 14.8 yards per reception and 7 receiving touchdowns. While this season was mediocre at best, Bianchi popped off in his sophomore year (in which he also declared for the DSFL draft). He put up 1,046 receiving yards in his sophomore year and 15 receiving touchdowns as well. Bianchi's raw combination of speed, agility, and athleticism as a whole rose his draft stock coming into 2041. Overall, while Bianchi declaring for the draft was a stunning and somewhat stupid decision, it paid off. However, some are skeptical of the young player as he has been considered "hit or miss" after a sudden spike upwards in performance.
