Gekyume Yume Stokeley (born January 24, 2003) is an American football linebacker for the Portland Pythons of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL). He played college football for University of Tennesse (UT) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Yume had a rough school life and never really fit in until the football coach recruited him to come to try out for the team. He fell in love instantly when he got to destroy his first HB in a tackling drill. From there on out it was all about football or nothing for Yume. Yume gained popularity quick following his first practice. Players wanted to get to know him and so did the other coaches. That's when the defensive captain took Yume under his wing and taught him everything he knew. Yume finally felt wanted in a life where everyone disappeared on him, being that his parent's died when Yume was little. The only person that was there to take care of him was his grandmother. His grandmother, in fact, was the one who gave him the nickname "Yume". Everything he does is to take care of his grandmother, she is his whole world.

College career

"All there is to say about Gekyume is that he led in all stats possible for an LB to lead for the UT. From the get-go, Yume started at MLB for the Volunteers and thrived. Yume was a stats machine and dominated the college level. He loved the fact that he got to play for his hometown college too! It was a dream come true. Yume lived for football. He woke up, ate breakfast, go to the weight room, then goes to class, eats lunch, after that is football practice, goes back into the weight room before going home eating dinner and going back to sleep to rinse and repeat. Dudes an animal and wants to become the best player possible and being able to go the weight room right on campus helps so much. UT has been good to Yume with how close everything is. Going into his Sophmore year nothing has changed except the fact that he is stronger, faster and overall smarter about the game and led the Volunteers again in every stat possible for an LB. Like I said rinse and repeat for his Junior year as well dude his a machine, an athletic animal. That's when scouts for the NSFL started to really take notice of him. Scouts loved him and raved about him on social media everyone took notice. Leading up to his Senior year everyone thought it was his year to win the Heisman but his senior season was cut short after his grandmothers passing and so he took that year off to mentally and physically prepare for the NSFL.
